Well, that was underwhelming.
I keep waiting for Destiny 2 to show me something that says it's a full blown sequel to Destiny and this reveal did not deliver. It feels to much like the Tower, or The Reef or The Iron Temple.

Because it's a SOCIAL SPACE 🙄
-
But the chickens man...think of the chickens.
-
They did mention that the Farm would increase in size as the player moves through the story/game. No one really knows what that means yet.
-
Size doesn't matter. I thought you should know by now.
-
Didnt get it either , they showed nothing new or exiting at all. A different location, and guys playing soccer and of course the chicken . And some talk about npc that come and go, they could at least showed one of them. We always expect to much from Bungie.
-
well its a social space, but granted I was hoping to see some of the dynamic NPCs in action
-
A social space looks like other social spaces? No way!
-
Not dissing yout concern at all but it is a completely different place. Different color, texture , shape etc. Maybe tell us what you would like in a social space that would satisfy you to say this is good?
-
One of my main gripes about Destiny 2's marketing is that a Bungie haven't really done enough to sell Destiny 2 as a NEW game. As someone who wasn't 100% happy with Destiny, I wanted the sequel to improve on all the short comings of its predecessor. In particular, I wanted the game world to have more life in it, and I had hoped that Destiny 2's new social space would feel more 'lived in' and 'populated', than Destiny's social spaces. Unfortunately The Farm feels just as empty and lifeless as The Tower, The Reef and The Iron Temple.
-
They said that it was dynamic. I'm guessing as you progress the story, the place will evolve and perhaps populate too.

I hate to say it, but without the city as an option for a local, or a colony on another planet, there's not a lot they can do with it other than just give us the space. In a way, a larger and more complex space just adds more obstacles in your way to getting routine tasks accomplished, so it's of dubious benefit to expand it. I don't care if it's the size of the tower courtyard, as long as I can get done what I need to. We shouldn't be spending the majority of our time here anyways, ideally. I hope to see something more interesting in the future, for now, it looks more efficient than the mess of stairs we have now, and I'll take that.
We shouldn't be spending the majority of our time here anyways, ideally.
Are you kidding? It has a SOCCER BALL! Now I don't need to buy FIFA, I'll get my footie fix at the farm.
-
I agree. I think I saw a shooting range. That's all I really wanted.
-
Hopefully.
-
You mean a social space feels like a social space??? What the -blam!- bungie???
-
Well they're not going to show everything off lol ~TheGreatNike
-
... as they did with the reef.. ^^

Something would be nice....
