Kinderguardians: Raiding the Vault of Glass- Part 10
Dear, god. Part 10. Whoo! Anyways, any of the characters and aspects that relates to a BraveCole story or installment belongs to BraveCole. If you prefer BraveCole to pitch the idea, go ahead, but remember in doing so, I may have to shut down the project, if BraveCole so desires. Enjoy our 10th installment.

Ectoplasmal: A body that is living as a ghost, or of something of ectoplasmic properties. Synonyms: Spiritual
RJ: But you see? This is, and isn't, the Child, the one who will change fates forever, the one who will- will you just shut up?-I'm sorry, the one who will change how this game is played forever. Zavala and Ikora step back. Looks of confusion are exchanged. This man, who's currently controlling one of Professor BraveCole's students, has certainly gone insane. They're stumped, and wonder what kind of insane game this man is playing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BraveCole: Great. If I have spare time after this, this would be great material for my biography. Rakkl-2: Ooh. A book! Exciting. Silence follows. BraveCole looks at Rakkl-2, for a stray moment, then looks towards Dawn. After all this time, Dawn has been wearing the cloak, or the remains of RJ's cloak, ornamented and augumented within the powers of the Vault. Dawn looks up. Dawn: Y-y-yes, P-prof-fessor? W-what do y-you need? BraveCole: Nothing, really. You've been quiet for a while now. Dawn becomes silent. Professor BraveCole knows that she had cried during most of the Templar fight. Her bubble had protected her, during her dramatic mourning of RJ. She clutches the cloak, and her eyes become empty. She wouldn't want to see another guardian disappear on the battlefield again... BraveCole froze. Realizing that Dawn had been clutching her cloak ever since the incident of RJ, and silently weeping along the way, he asked, if Dawn misses RJ. Dawn: A-a l-little... BraveCole: Dawn, lemme see that cloak. Dawn: W-why? BraveCole: Just wanna see if I had peanut butter from the last time RJ sat with me. I swear, kid somehow finds a way to make things hard for me, even if he's not here. mybeary turns around, and begins to peek over the edge. The Gorgons seemed to be oblivious of their existance, but they seemed to have reverted back to their normal being. That being said, thay'd have to be more careful. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RJ stared at the Figure, betrayed. He's being held onto the ground, though fighting a useless struggle, as the Figure points his gun at RJ, point blank. He thought he was being offered an escape route, an end to this misery, but alas, God forbade it. The Figure chuckled. The Figure: Oh dear! Oh my! Hahaha! RJ: No! No! I trusted you! You said you knew! You -blam!-ing knew, you -blam!-ing scammer!! The Figure: Oh dear, how it is funny to hear you struggle with me, with words without meaning! Needless to say, I lied. My identity, the plan, my imprisonment, heck, even the cake! And yes, there was no cake at all. RJ: Screw you! I seriously wish that I can screw you over with my Blade -blam!-ing now, you bastard! The Figure: Hahaha! Oh, my, using such words! I believe this is called, in timelines such as yours, salt? Or was it cancer? I never did figure out which was what. RJ: So what are you going to do? Blast me? I'll just respawn, and I'll kill you!! The Figure: Ahh, I already know your capabilities. I know you'll just come back to live again, attempting to learn my attack patterns, over and over again, until you finally get your ending. It's actually quite frequent, like people like you. People who stare at their TV screens, mindlessly shouting even more mindless things. It's PATHETIC. RJ: Wha-? What the heck are you talkin' about? What TV screens, what mindless things? For the love of RNGesus itself, stop whining 'bout something! The Figure: Oh, no, I'm not whining. Oh, ho, ho, ho, it may sound greatly idiotic, of pure stupidity, but this, this is how I'm getting out of here. RJ: By what? Talking shit to yourself, or talking nonsense to the person who's literally going to cut your throat open? The Figure: If you weren't blinded by such rage, you'll see what I'm trying to do. The Fourth Wall. Ever heard of it? RJ: Other than the constant screaming in my ears, no, I'm not hearing anything. The Figure smiled. It was working. He'd finally gotten the only Light-infused being in his clutches, powerless and ensnared. He'd finally get to escape his imprisonment, and to relish in the destruction of the Light, and to bring about the perfect outcome. But first, he still had to do one more thing. And it involved RJ's ectoplasmal body. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fexil: Careful, guys. Especially when we have 7 people. Ventis: I could kill myself. Rakkl-2: Would be awesome, but it would -blam!- us up too, so... no. Ventis: It'll be quick. I'll join RJ, and I'll try to brin- Rakkl-2: no. Ventis: Okay, then. BraveCole: Wait, who's our seventh? I thought only a maximum of six could enter the Vault. Velohan: Yo. I forgot I had my comms. muted. Rakkl-2: All good, man. mybeary: Careful, there's one directly under us. Whilst Fexil is leading the group across the maze, one thought stays in Dawn's mind, as if something unsettling was happening to RJ, like something was going...wrong. She didn't believe he was dead, but rather, he was transported to another place. It was crazy talk, but she thought otherwise. On the other hand, Ventis pondered on the prophecy he'd recieved at the entrance into the raid. Sure, most prophecies were supposed to be cryptic and stuff, but this was purely confusing. The death of an Exo sure hasn't happened, Thorn sure wasn't a menace anymore, and two Titans meeting each other seemed perfectly normal. The only thing he wasn't sure about was the threesome part, and he was sure not to trust the Exo who's literally tinkering with his grenades. Who was he? mybeary: We gotta move, so jump from here... to there. mybeary points to a ledge, then to an area where they can set up a resting place. After all, they'd just outran the Vanguard, and killed the Templar. They've got to have some rest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cayde-6 lies in the infirmary, his Ghost beside him. It is a bit peculiar, considering Ghosts heal wounds in an instant. Then he looked over his leg, the area that hurt like hell. Parts of it were turning yellow. Cayde-6 instantly felt a feeling of nausea, then attempted to stand up. His leg collapsed, and his Ghost advised him to lay down. Cayde-6 instantly questioned his Ghost. Cayde-6: Alright, so what happened here? This lil' leg was my favorite, and I want answers! Ghost: You've sustained damage beyond my healing capabilities. I do not know if the Vault is responsible, but I advise you never go near there again. Cayde-6: Arghh... Bullshit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From afar, The Figure watches Cayde-6 with a strange intent, while dragging RJ to a secluded room, with a Vexian Corpse strapped to a wall. Then he turns to RJ, and begins to speak, with a certain bite to his speech. The Figure: So... you wanna know why I brought you here? RJ: Is it because you want to bring back your mother? I'm not sure it'll end well. The Figure: ...Alchemy isn't really my thing, to an extent. RJ: So.. why did you bring me here? And who are you? Because I prefer to know my killer, so that I can get revenge and tell him to git gud. The Figure: Aren't you funny? You're the type who yells NERFS to random weapons and armor, without reason or evidence... Sure.. My name, as you'd already would know, is Atheon. Well, maybe just a tiny soul of him. And I need your soul to reanimate my friend over there. He points to the Vexian Corpse, which is now revealed to look like a dragon. It has three heads. Atheon: Ever heard of Xylar, the Timeless? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ikora: Strange. I always did think the deaths of multiple Darkness leaders were too convienent. Zavala: I think it strange too, but should we be more concerned about capturing Professor BraveCole? RJ: See? I told you! Now, Professor BraveCole is playing this game too! Most of your guardians have been killing the same enemies, over and over again! Don't you want the threat to stop? Zavala: Well, our guardians aren't the types to abandon their jobs. RJ: YOU MISUNDERSTAND! They're only in it for the loot! If it weren't for that, they'd leave at first chance they'd get! The Vanguard will cease! Zavala: Sigh... Zavala thinks over if he had anything to offer to the guardians. He had nothing. Defeated, he decided to listen. Zavala: Alright, what are you thinking of doing? Ikora's face goes wide, as she is surprised at Zavala for giving in. "RJ", on the other hand, smiled. He got Zavala, and Cayde right where Atheon, the Almighty wants them. Want the beginning? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/223936861/0/0 I've also put my stories under "kinderguardians," as so that not to be confused under the #BraveCole stories. I might have my own tag soon, but enjoy this, along with @Oddish's new chapter in his newest installment, and @BraveCole's story on the Ogre Serpent. I do not intend to compete with any of these authors in any way, and if you want my stories as inspiration to theirs', just suggest it.
