Your thoughts on Far Cry 4
I seen Far Cry 4 was like $16 at the PlayStation store. I watched some reviews and some gameplay footage. Looks interesting
Little about my likes....I'm a loot shooting junkie...not gonna lie...but I do like shooters in General.
1)what's your thoughts on the game...good or bad.
2) sound like something I can get into?
Any info is appreciated.
(Btw...reminded me of watching uncharted gameplay)

Edit 7/5: got about 2 hours in it so far. Liking it so far. Find driving the quad hard. Its gonna take a bit to get use to the controls. Still don't know how I managed to throw bait, but it took me a bit of time and when I did throw it, not even sure what I did.
Bought a bow first for stealth kills and captured My first bell tower.
Kinda reminds me of Skyrim with guns and vehicles a bit.
So far so good!

2 RepliesNever played it but it is similar to FC3 which I did play. Well you like shooters and it is an openworldish shooter with some crafting and a skilltree. A bit of an RPG lite, storydriven, has coop I believe but no PvP AFAIK. Has plenty of content so for $16 it is not a bad deal.

Some cling to FC3 for the best story and characters but I think Min takes the prize he's in it till the end and while he doesn't show up much he does contact you via radio with some really random stuff the guy really does treat you like a frienemy. While FC3 the story is great right up until half way when Vaas takes a dirt nap and then the main enemy is just some random drug dealer with the personality of a potato. The gunplay and story are great being very open to how you want to approach things with more variety than the other FC games is great roll in guns blazing go stealth or mix up the two he'll roll up in a truck with C4 ditch it early and watch it roll into town while you detonate it and take out a dozen soldiers the game just gives you a world to play in and let's you loose with your imagination. Personally the only FC game to beat it is Primal and that's due to the setting of prehistory lots of lush greenery and forests alongside some Bow and Spear action. If there's a bundle deal I highly recommend it.

It's a solid game for sure. I've just finished my play through. Took me a while to get into the story but I thoroughly enjoyed it

It's a lot of fun. Good bow and arrow gameplay if you like that. Lots to do. Also there are the Shang-Ri-La missions. I will not say any more but those missions were a surprise and some of my favorite parts of any game I've ever played

It's a pretty good game, though it does have a lot of elements in the story that I'm not the biggest fan of personally.

Oh and if you haven't heard at the start of the game your going to be asked to wait. Basically just sit your controller down for like 15-20 minutes an see what happens I always thought that bit was funny. Also there's some side fetch quests that and a bit more context to the overall story I would recommend doing.

If you like open world story modes, this game has a bunch of stuff to do. Actually is was a lot like 3. The villain pops up every once in a while when you do a mission, but the radios always on in vehicles to remind you. There's coop ability too while you do the missions. Just jump in and out into stuff. The multiplayer is nothing like 3 at all. It takes a genius just to figure out what the game modes are, not to mention what weapons you get to use. Nothing like CoD.
