I'm stunned Microsoft and 343 are allowing this.
If this were about any other game this project would be gutted.

Not every company is shitty. 343 has been really open and communicative with the community recently, and Microsoft has really been putting themselves out there in the gaming scene, and putting a larger focus on it. With all the crossplay and everything they're doing, it's not surprising that they're allowing this.

Probably because if I remember correctly, all of the game is made by them, no assists from Halo were used. I think I remember reading that they have been giving 343 updates and such, which would be seen as a nice gesture I suppose to the owners of Halo.
