At 6:49 I was fully dressed in a suit, waiting outside of the mess hall. I nervously asked, "Hex, what time is it?" "The same as when you asked ten seconds ago. Its still 6:49. Oh, wait. Its 6:50 now." He replied. I paced nervously back and forth, imagining all things that could wrong. And then she was there. I stared. Jedesia stood in the hall. She wore a sleeveless red dress with flower designs running up and down the shoulders. Her hair hung down her back. To me, she was radiant. "You... You are..." I stuttered. "I am... What?" She said coyly. "You... You are beautiful." I said. She laughed, and took my arm as we entered the mess hall. I pulled out a chair, for her and then sat down myself. "What would you like to eat? Mashed potatoes, some kind of soup, or ramen noodles?" I asked, consulting the menu. "I'll have the noodles." Jedesia said. "Me too." I said laughing. I signaled the waiter and five minutes later, we were slurping noodles like there was no tomorrow. Which in the resistance, was a very real possibility. Drake ran down towards the vehicle bay. When he reached the bay, he climbed onto a sparrow. "I'm going out on patrol." he said. The bay door creaked upwards letting in the cool night air. The sparrow roared to life and shot out the open door. Drake sped down the road looking for anything of interest. Suddenly a fist shot out from the dark alley in his right. It grabbed the front fin, and pushed down. The sparrow crashed into the ground and flipped over. Drake rolled and stood. A large hand grabbed his throat and lifted him off his feet.
