I agree with most of what he said. I can't see myself enjoying destiny 2s PvP at all though from what I've read, sure I'll try it and see. I'll play the Pve content until Ive had enough or play a lot less. If the PvP side isn't better than what we've got now I'll be gone, PvP keeps players playing between dlcs.

4 RepliesThe problem I have with D2 opinions is that people are acting like a video game should feel like a full time job. A lot of content is something Bungie has already said will be there. I agree that there should be a challenge but in every aspect? I already put enough hours in a full time job. Our escape shouldn't be a second job. It's a video game. The problem is that these "creators" are too lazy to make their own challenges. My favorite YouTube publishers don't have many subs and actually create their own challenges. I can't respect someone who expects their content to be handed to them. Proof is easy. Everyone posts the same damn video. Covering the same crap then complains when they're "dried up". Create something then! Sorry if this has nothing to do with the video. Didn't watch it. I can deduce it's a rant though. I don't feel sorry for these guys. I feel bad small time guys who put 4 tines as much thought into a video and only get 1,000 subs.

When I watch his content I can rest assured knowing that lots of people are watching and liking the same things I'm watching and liking, thereby validating my existence. Now if someone with under 100k subscribers *shudders* had made this video, then I of course would have disagreed with it, because they wouldn't be an influencer, and there would be know way to know that other people enjoyed or agreed with the same thing I did and that is not OK.

I personally wish destiny would start catering to the hardcore fan base, to those people who play the game almost like a part time job. Having competitive multiplayer would be a step in the right direction, datto is 100% right in my opinion. I want to see this game follow in similar footsteps to halo.

There's a number of points here so you would have to be specific about what you disagreed with. I like how he makes a case that D2 is skewing toward less competitive than more which flies in the face of the occasional, "D2 IS GOING TOO PRO OMG HALO CLONE PREORDER CNCLD RAWR!1!!" threads we see.

Ranking or no ranking the game does what it's supposed to do and that is entertain. The only thing I want different in D2 is more shit to do, I want D2 to never go more than a month through a drought, that's it.

1 ReplyThe world is changing and I wonder if Bungie is avoiding a ranked playlist to conform to today's so called standards. Younger generations are being coddled and some adults in their infinite wisdom have come to the conclusion that too much competition is harmful to children and causes stress. An example of this is schools are slowly getting rid of the valedictorian in high school graduations. Some schools are telling kids their GPA but are telling them not to share them. Some schools are having more than one valedictorian in some cases even 25 and some schools have scrapped this practice all together. All in the name of creating better self esteem and self worth and reducing stress. It's kinda crazy to me.

I agree with datto. If they are trying to improve all aspects of destiny in the sequel then naturally ranked playlist should happen in d2. It extends the longetivity of the game having things to achieve. I know I have stopped playing destiny crucible since there is really no point anymore. Put a ranked system and reward and I would probably still be playing. Not looking for special weapons or armour just emblems and shaders or even emotes. It would also please the casual audience as most of the better players would most likely stay out of regular crucible then to partake in ranked. Honestly if ranked doesn't appear in some form I'll be massively dissapointent.
