Since the gunslinger isn't as strong as in the current game, I'll be using Arcstrider in PvE, it looks badass and reminds me of a "Destiny" version of Darth Maul.

  • Gunslinger isn't as easy to make overpowered, sure, but it's not weak. For boss damage you can either hit it with the 6 six shooter real quick, or you can take your time to do 3 precision shots that increase in damage as you go. Arcstrider, however, looks for all intents and purposes to still be melee only and will get crushed by boss slams. So... it looks badass, sure, but by the way that Destiny's mechanics works, it also looks incredibly ineffective against bosses. Also, comparing the strength is a bit... dishonest. Everything in Destiny 2 is going to be less strong because we will be resetting back to 0 level. I highly doubt that at the end of the main campaign we'll be at level 40 with light level 400 gear. So that's kind of apples and oranges.

  • Ahh very true, I appreciate your civil/professional response. In all honesty though, I'm too drawn in by the way Arcstrider attacks acrobatically, but yeah, I see what you mean when going against bosses.

  • I also appreciate your civil/professional response. It's rare enough to see them, after all.
