I wouldn't think they leave the hive out of the war, considering 2 dlcs were dedicated to them in D1. That's not saying we'll get the same thing in D2, but they would have to play a role somehow.

If SIVA is in this one, which it is for at least one strike, then the hive should definately be. Probably as secondary antagonists though. The hive may be in Destiny 2 what the cabal were in Destiny 1.
