It wasn't the hype train that disappointed, it was the 3-4 year build up that caused disappointment. Bungie talked too much about what they wanted to do vs what they could and were doing, and thus alot of stuff got mixed in that was never going to make it. This time, the first live thing shown about Destiny 2 will be what is in the game. We're, what, 3 and a half months out from release....it's nigh on impossible for them to make any large, meaning full changes to the game (but you could get a huge Day 1 patch that changes, but it still wouldn't alter the core of the game) So I think there is some room for a bit of hype, albeit hype that is balanced with wariness. Also, Beta won't be a way to tell either....because the Destiny beta was the entire first planet, so you'd played a 1/4 of the game without ever knowing it. PS: The size required for it is 68GB according to adverts I've seen on sites; Destiny as it stands now is about 45GB...which makes things kinda interesting.
