Massive Entertainment's tragic mishandling of The Division....and Ubisoft's unwillingness to put out any new content for the second year of the game.

Edited by TheArtist: 5/18/2017 12:58:04 PMNot by me.....or millions of other people. The game had almost unlimited potential...and should (by rights) been Destiny's fiercest rival on the PVE side of things. But Massive (for the first six months of the game) was a case-study in what NOT to do in managing a game of this type. They couldn't have done worse even if they had been DELIBERATELY mismanaging the game. Everything you could do to alienate, and piss off your fanbase of a AAA game, by the truckload.....they did. By the time they came to their senses, and turned things around it was too late. They had pissed away the overwhelming majority of the game's player base. The game recovered somewhat.....but any hopes of rivaling Destiny (never mind "killing" it)....had already died at that point.

This was me. Bought season pass and everything. I bailed when underground launched. It still leaves me nauseous when I think of this game. Not the money spent. The playing it, and incursions being so fookin dull. Way op enemies, screw those shotgunners! I got a little excited the other day when I saw Avatar was going to be a game. Until I saw it's being developed by Massive. Ah-Well. Saved some money there I guess. Fool me once . . . . . . . . .

I played the Division the day it launched....and by the time I reached the safe house I was just out. Horrible character customization and slow mechanics.

Not every game is going to appeal to everyone. Many people just don't like third person shooters. But for what it was designed to be, the game was excellent (to start) and was VERY appealing to many Destiny PVE players who were frustrated with where this game was back in the Spring of 2016.

Yeah, the third person view was also an issue for me.

I just didn't find the story appealing tbh.
