No offense meant, but... Nerfing a crappy sniper because of combined arms and Weapons of Light is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. It's a super. Lots of snipers can OHK body with Weapons. And combined arms isn't a regular game mode, so nerfing IB's impact because of it makes no sense. It's like saying "Well, snipers see a lot of usage on combined arms, so we should nerf them in every playlist." It makes no sense whatsoever.

 • Wrong word, nerf. I'm referring to balancing. Trading stats around to ensure an even playing field. While you say it doesn't make sense, it does make sense. As for lots of weapons, this thread is dedicated to icebreaker only because of its unique application. Sure, a heads hot shuts down a one time placement and ohk sniper, but the essence of it is about giving all players a shot. If one such super could be used like this, just what do you think happens when people can't pull off their supers because they got one shot from this combo? You can't justify it. It's an overpowered strategy which needs to be reigned in. I've been a titan main since year 1, but before I am that, I am a supporter of coordinated teamwork in any video game. It's why we play team oriented gametypes.

 • Ice Breaker having ammo is irrelevant. This was a sniper that no one used before the patch because it was that bad. Also, in order to OHK a super, it still needs to be a headshot (not including Golden Gun), and IB already can OHK most roaming supers without weapons as it does 199 damage on a roaming super due to its ballistic options; that can only be tanked by someone running maximum armor. Using weapons of light on a normal map is an extreme risk-reward loadout. The buff you get is lovely but you don't get any armor and it's still easy to get shutdown. You might get a couple kills with it, but c'mon, man. It's a super. On a vehicle map, sure, it's easier to use, but once again, all this boils down to is nerfing a crappy sniper for its ease of use with a situational buff provided by a mediocre super in a playlist that comes around once a month. That still makes no sense.

 • Popularism doesn't have any weight with me or anyone really past the age of 25 when talking about hard facts. Ammo is completely relevant. As I said, any other sniper? You have to go get ammo. This one? Enables a camper and with a weapons bubble? Call that an effective vehicle killer too. It's completely relevant. Ohk? Kiddo. I dropped three titans, and one warlock. One? Was max armor striker. The other two were sunbreakers. It is ohk, body shot, when combined with weapons. One last thing. I called for balance. I suggested a stability and charge time reduction. I get most users on these forums use that word "nerf" loosely. I dont.

 • Except you could camp before the patch, too, yet you could do it with any sniper. In fact, snipers aren't meant to play well in an aggressive role, so I don't get what the huge deal about it is, especially when the entire basis for you wanting to nerf IB's impact is predicated on an ability that only comes around once every 3-5 minutes and requires an ability I barely see people use. And you discuss "hard facts", yet you make claims such as saying that IB can OHK body a super. Let me give you some hard facts; simple math. IB does 398 to the head and 160 to the body. A WoL bubble provides a 25% buff to weapon damage. (35% with Illuminated) 160*1.25 is 200. 160*1.35 is 216. Both OHK values. But if you bring an armored super into the equation, both those values drop in half. 200 becomes 100. 216 becomes 108. Neither of those are anywhere close to OHK on an armored super. A headshot is a super OHK (just under 500 damage) but then again, so is a normal IB shot. I simply don't see what the issue you're getting at is. Lastly, I don't care if you're "balancing" it out. IB is fine. The rest of the Crucible is a completely different matter, but IB doesn't need any pointless "fine-tuning".
