This post isn't saying you shouldn't get rid of them. This post isn't saying it's your responsibility to coddle them. It's saying that you have a responsibility how you treat children, especially because many of them don't know any better. As adults, if we want it to be fixed (as many people complaining on the forums have stated) then we have to be the ones to fix it, and this is both the easiest and the swiftest way to start fixing it. Getting rid of them is good, it's a punishment for their bad behaviour that should start teaching them to behave. But if you don't talk to a child about the punishment, they don't know it's a punishment, they view it as an adult being a D-bag. And for many adults in our community, unfortunately, that's accurate. In summary, you're right, kids should do better. How do we get them to do better? By being better ourselves.
