I mean, there was this troll who literally put links of naked dudes on posts, he's not banned. But when I say something like, "Kill yourself," I get banned for a month

It just was that a ninja happened by your post and not another and took action on a violation (which yours was). That doesn't excuse anyone or make the rules inconsistent, it just means Ninjas aren't omnisciently knowing of every post made and you should report any violation you see. When they have the time to review reports, they take action on those as well.
