I've been invited once, randomly in the tower, to crota but the raid ended at crota cuz people had to bail. It was really fun to go but I missed the struggle that comes with figuring out a boss fight. At the same time, super appreciated seeing/ experiencing something I had t done before.
We generally do bounties, forge, and/or playlists.
I'd like to get our groups into lfg for raids though.

Just post on LFG and get some experience. It'll never happen if you don't try. Gotta start somewhere. I've done pretty much everything this game has to offer, and I'll say that raids are hands down my favorite part of Destiny. My first run through of Kings Fall was a grueling 10-12 hours across 3 different sessions. Now I can get through the entirety of it in under an hour with a good team. All it takes is knowledge and practice, anybody is capable if they put the time into it.

It's intimidating trying it out for the first time, but I can tell you every raid is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. They each just have their own mechanics that you have to learn. You can either go in blind and enjoy experiencing it for yourself, or you can watch some videos to get an idea of what happens and what you should be doing throughout the raid. Good luck to you
