Does that mean that you have to charge that much money for expansions that come out every two months? NO make them free! Or make bigger ones!

Gta 5 all day everyday. Still coming out with new fan bas3d dlc that keeps the game fun and....wait...no charge for dlc. New cars, weapons, costumes, and also brand new mechanics, brand new events, brand new game components. Gta is still not perfect, load times are horrible. But, just as destiny, they went from old gen to new gen. Let you carry over all progress including money. They didn't waste your time, at least after heists came out.

Gta 5

Guild Wars 2. Buy once, play forever. First expansion wasn't until over 3 years later.

CSGO, and it has been out for longer

That game is cancerous with microtransactions. Try again.

So is this one. You asked for a game and I gave it you. Didn't know it being terrible makes it less popular.
-
Still isn't the correct answer to the question here. Game companies need income to continue work on their games long-term. Extra money means extra hours means extra content. lern2bizness, fren

CSGO is it's own game that has survived for years. Period.

idk about you, but dragon's dogma kept me busy for four years, even platinum trophied it. That wasn't even a 60$ purchase. It was 30$. ESO kept me busy for two to three years, 60$ only, still never finished the game's content. Rogue legacy still keeps me busy four years later, it was a 12 or 15$ purchase... Minecraft was a 24$ purchase, 10$ on my ps4, still keeps me entertained and occupied. No DLC needed. Game's don't need dlc to be good or give hours to years of play time. The games just need to be good and have replay value.
