if all of the houses are broken now, thanks mostly to us guardians, then that means they are pretty much defeated. i hope that means in destiny 2 they are no longer a major presence/enemy in the game anymore and are replaced by a new race to fight. id prefer something new over rehashing the same guys again. i kinda like the idea some of you have been floating around of the remaining fallen teaming up with us to fight a common enemy. although i think that ship may have already sailed as i think the perfect opportunity for that common enemy was probably oryx and the taken. the taken seem to have decimated the fallen and oryx was a major threat to the entire system. if there was any time the fallen would have joined forces with us it was then. maybe the full force of the cabal empire shows up in destiny 2 due to the events of the taken king and the threat oryx posed to the cabals plans. i remember in one of the story missions it was said that the remaining cabal sent a distress signal back to the empire for help against the taken and they played a pretty big role in fighting oryx and attacking the dreadnaught. perhaps now the rest of the fleet finally shows up and they mount a full scale invasion of earth and the rest of the system and they are now the major threat.
