Tolerant? What about the gays?
I had a friend I'd known for awhile. He was pretty religous (Christian, I do believe) and he fell into a depression. Why, you ask?
His family. As Christians, they believed that being gay was sinful. He was so afraid that if they found out, they'd cast him away and disown him. Where is the tolerance there? A kid can't even be honest to his family because he's afraid of what the religion has made them believe.
He was dedicated to his religion though. Despite knowing that not only did his own family think what he did was wrong, but even his own god didn't accept who he was, he still prayed and whatnot.
Please explain.
EDIT: Yeah, forgot a major part. He told me how he wished he wasn't gay. He knew it wasn't a choice, yet he's still a "sinner."

Bc if you ask me (Protestant) I'm ok as long they don't try to stick it in my butt or force it upon people like they're doing now. I'm not mad at the gay, i'm mad at the gay community, its acts are generally assholeish.

Being gay isn't a sin. ACTING by following your flesh (fornication, homsexuality, etc.) is the sin.
-
What about them? Being gay is a sin, according to the bible.
-
Exactly. People are being called sinners because how they're born. It's -blam!-ed up.
-
You can tolerate someone and still disagree with someone.
-
God disagrees with gayness, but does he tolerate it? Ask the screaming fags of hell!
gays in hell:AHHHHHHHH!
-
It doesn't matter if you are gay or not, what matters is if you believe in Christ and accept him as your savior. That is all getting into heaven has ever been about.
-
So being gay is fine? They can fall in love and express their love with their mate and go to heaven?
-
Calling someone a sinner because how they are born doesn't sound very tolerant.
-
Born that way? So you are saying that something in his DNA determines that he is gay?

Edited by Silent: 3/30/2017 11:38:13 PMIt's an error during develop. Just like other things, such as down syndrome, low IQ, retardation, etc. Everyone starts as a girl during development. You then either change to a male, or continue developing as a female. During this development, many errors can occur. An example is the physical make-up changing, but not the mental make-up changing, and vice versa. That's what causes homosexuality and/or transvestites.
-
That's where you are wrong. If you have an XY, you will developed like a boy. If you have an XX, you will develops like a girl. This is basic biology.
-
Mistakes can occur during development. Are you not aware of that?
-
I am aware of that. My sister had some.
-
And yet you still deny the fact that being gay isn't a choice?
-
That isn't a fact. Being gay is a choice. No one is forcing you to sleep with someone of the same sex as you.
-
Being gay is the attraction to people of the same sex. You don't have to sleep with the person to be gay. How about you go ask a gay person if they chose to be gay? Better yet, how about this? Choose to be attracted to men for 10 seconds, then proceed to turn yourself on through whatever thoughts it takes. After that, turn straight again. Go ahead, see if you can get turned on by "choosing."

Gay is sinful We let them know that but dont "cast him/her out" or "stone them"

It's not a choice. It's how you're born.

Edited by MightyUltron616: 3/30/2017 4:07:16 AMAren't we born with some sort of sin?
-
Are you serious or just joking around? I'm too tired to tell.
-
I'm pretty serious, we are all born with sin in us
-
But being gay is shunned upon by religion, yet it's not something you can simply just change about yourself. It's a major part of who you are.
