Feedback and a like would be helpful ;) "Vesrik, a messenger was down in Pahanin's Cove." Nayvadis pauses. "A message, he gave me, from the Talon kell himself." My expression matched the expressions of the rest of my bridge crew: shocked. Most of the kells swore off contact with the House of Scar ever since I started accepting other races into it. There were a few exceptions to whom I had contact with: the Kell of Kings, the Kell of Talons, and the Kell of Storms; then again, we all have very strained relationships. "Nayvadis, are you sure this messenger meant to deliver to us?" I reply with suspicion. Nayvadis nods and says, "I am sure, your Highness. He specifically said your name, and did not want me viewing it until I gave it to you." He held out the storage drive for me to take. I waved him off, and said, "Just plug it into the Pilot Servitor. We will all see what he has to say." The baron nodded, and walked over to my first companion. He gave it to the pilot, and it projected a hologram. It was of the Kell of Talons himself. The hologram spoke in the eliksni tongue, and said, "Greetings, Vesrik. If you do not remember from our last meeting, my name is Lokis. After all, you are very reclusive." I mutter under my breath, "I'm surprised you remember I exist..." The hologram continues, "There has been a problem I have had lately. As you know, I have an only-child... he was killed in a dealing I had with a mob member." I could see the sorrow in the projections' eyes. I do not know what it is like to lose a child, but I have met with many Devils who do. They continue to die to those who were killed long ago. "This man is to be brought to justice, and I need you to help get my assassins to him. He is located in the Reef, which is why I cannot send my own ships over there. The coordinates to meet us are in the storage drive my messenger has given to you." What's in it for me? I thought. The recording continues, "Your reward will be given to you by Seren Cay, Baroness of the Reef Mob, after our business is done. You will meet a woman named Mariel and a crew she is sending at the rendezvous coordinates." The recording ends, and the servitor stops the projection. I remember that tech witch, Seren. That is how I came into possession of the parts to build my prime, in which Vrayth works on now. I thought she killed my nephew, Zatkis... I grip the hilt of my blade, remembering the anger and frustration I felt from that day. I had to contemplate this for a minute. I do not know if this is worth it. If it wasn't for what Zatkis feels, I would head there now, I thought to myself. I look to Zatkis, who tries to seem as inconspicuous as possible, and ask, "Would you be okay with this? The ketch would have to go back to Demeter to collect the reward." He shakes his head and replies, "Don't let me hold you back. You are the kell, and whatever decision you make, I will support." I nod in thanks for this. I walk towards my pilot to show me the coordinates within the drive, and once I see where I am going, my expression slumps. "Terra... the home to those dead things that cut down our people and kill the primes!" I guess I can thank them for one thing: killing Solkis! I personally do not like most of the kells, but the Devil kell, in particular, was never an agreeable individual. Rager scoffs, "Earth? We are going to earth?! Lokis knows better than to think we are dumb enough to help attack the City!" I turn around with my cloak swaying, and said , "He is not asking us to attack the City, Rager, he is asking us to escort his soldiers!" The awoken man shrinks back after my retort. I punch the coordinates into my Pilot Servitor before announcing to the rest of the crew. I go toward the auditory systems, and announce to the entire ketch, "Listen up, soldiers! Lokis, the Wicked, has called upon us for a special mission. I am to meet his soldiers on Earth. Vesrik, out." I turn around to see my crew eyeing me, waiting for my next order. Valerie approaches me and asks, "Who are you picking to go down with you?" "Mostly eliksni, to avoid any prejudice, but if you wish to come with me, you can. Nayvadis, bring nine of your vandals down with us, because you are coming along too." The baron responds, "Is that all, your Highness? I have more, if you'd like to bring them." I reply with a warm tone, "Thank you, Nayvadis, but that will be all." He brought his nine vandals aboard the bridge, three carrying wire rifles, six carrying shocks. Nayvadis carried a shrapnel, and Valerie carried her scout rifle, "Boolean Gemini". I stuck with my sword most of the time, but I always carried a shrapnel just in case. We headed for the hangar as the ketch took us to earth. We punched through the atmosphere, getting ready to approach the rendezvous point. Below us was an endless sea of sand dunes. The sun continued to bake the ground as creatures burrowed under it for any relief from the heat. I never liked deserts, especially Mars. The whole place was a giant warzone, not to mention the sandstorms. A skiff flew us down to the coordinates, and we hopped off down to the desert below. The sand splashed up on our boots; I could see Valerie pouring a mound out of hers. We stood there for about ten minutes, until I saw a ship fly in. A custom Ceres Galliot, no doubt, with black claws petruding from the front. Ketch armor studded the ship, which were reinforced with parts from a Cabal Harvester. The ship also pulsed with Hive growth. Who the heck mashed that thing together, I thought. An Awoken woman and a crew approaches as the ship goes into stealth. After I take off my hood, she looks at me strangely; after she pulls out a vaporizer and hits it, the look is gone. Strange, I think to myself. I drape my hand over my sword, and ask, "You are Mariel?" She replies, "I am. You're the one we're supposed to meet up with?" "Yes. I am Vesrik, Kell of House Scar."
