It was an interesting build up. I believe the chicks from that beach camp may stand down in the beginning but will come in clutch at the end. But if some big shot does not die by the end of this season (I'm looking at you, Negan), I may be finished with this show. But all around it wasn't too terribly boring.

I sure hope Negan doesn't die. He's the my favorite character. he's such a badass. He will "shut that shit down" and does. One of the best bad guys I've ever seen.

Negan won't die at the end of the season, they'll probably make a build up to a big series of events that will happen. The rest of this season and the next will be pretty chaotic.

Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if the female group all die now that Negan is onto Rick. He might know that that would be a good place to look first if he knows where it is. However, on your point, it would make more sense if the ones who want to fight snuck off before the fight. I doubt they'd go into battle without guns.
