The only thing that is missing from this game is the grind and the exoticness of exotics. In year 1 we would have to grind the living shit out of our selfs to get an exotic we wanted, now all we have to is pop a three of coins and even u get an exotic engram ur just like meh

True. Exotic weapons rarely are exotic, so they're hardly ever worth a slot. Bring elemental primaries back but as exotics is a decent idea that they should've ran with AT THE BEGINNING OF YEAR 2!!! Why? Because that is what would've gotten Gally out of permanent placement in our load outs. So we could've kept everything and left nothing behind.

Grind is not "good" but an unfortunate necessity, as a player you shouldn't want much grind but you want the grinding process to be as enjoyable as possible. There is a reason its called grinding. Just real fast bit down as hard as you can and try to move your jaw back and forth. Did you enjoy that? And I will say I enjoyed the VoG grinding process because the rewards were worth it.

That's what I mean, when ur grinding for something that is special and u really want it it's really fun. For example I remember farming for grasp in TTK and believe or not I actually really enjoyed doing it with my friends.

My point is that the enjoyment comes from a combination of playing with friends and being rewarded for the time put in not from the fact that you have to do the same thing over and over again for a long period of time

True.

Yeah, exotics are so common now its just pathetic. Bungie should make exotic drop rates super low

It's not just about the drop rates, it's how they were upgraded. First, it was a rare drop to get it, then you have to do various activities to level it up, next grind out materials, and then you had to sacrifice another exotic or buy an exotic shard from Xur to give it the finishing touch. This process took time and gave you show-off rights, but best of all, you felt emotionally attached to the weapon or armor from taking away your time so you could be more powerful. And this feeling was "Exotic."
