I'd really like a DLC that adds areas to Anor Londo and brings back areas in Dark Souls 2. The plot would center around figuring out what happened to Gwynevere after she left the Cathedral of Blue.
You ever notice the Cathedral of Blue has similar architecture to Anor Londo?
In case you don't know, Gwynevere and Ornstein were illusions in the first game. The real ones fled to Drangliec and built the Cathedral of Blue, where you fight the real Ornstein in DS2. It isn't made clear what happened to Gwynevere, although Ornstein stayed.
It sounds cool, and it keeps with the theme of constant fan service in Dark Souls 3.

The spoiler is just a theory, you shouldn't state it so solidly. I never thought about that, though. :o
-
Wait so the real orenstein was weak?
-
The real Ornstein has the same moveset as the illusion, aside from a few new hexes he learned to fight Gwyn if absolutely necessary. He's just less of a threat on his own, to be honest.
-
I mean.. you fight silver orenstein very very early into the game. You fight gold one well into the game. Very different leveling for when you fight each. I had some havels and leveled halberd. When i walked into the dragonslayer and executioner. When i fought this "real" one i probably couldnt even have the stats to carry anything larger than a sword.

I've playe the first game, so i know about the illusions, and by cathedral of the blue you mean of the deep?

Edited by shell: 3/6/2017 4:52:59 PMNo. Did you not go to the Cathedral of Blue? It's where you fight Ornstein in Dark Souls 2.
-
Oops, thought you were talking about ds3
also, the old dragonslayer is not ornstein
-
He has the exact same body proportions and the same moveset. The only other explaination is that Ornstein's biggest fan spent his entire life copying his fighting style exactly.
-
The real problem is that the place where ds2 takes place in drangleic, another continent/part of the world instead of lordran. At least that's my opinion
-
Of course. That's why it would make sense for them to flee there.
-
Only fromsoft can tell... too many blanks between ds and ds2, even in ds3 there are few references to drangleic. Also, if you kill ornstein in ds2 why is his armor in archdragon peak in ds3?

Because the devs didn't know where else to put it?
