Warrior: Part 4 (But Better!!!!!! :D )

Alright, part 4 is here. I will be trying my hardest to churn these things out more often, but quite honestly I usually don't have the time or patience to complete and submit them every few days. So, don't expect a predictable schedule. The dark figure, in bulky black armor, held the smoking weapon at it's side and stared at the guardians opposite. "I knew that you would come", it said, clearly male because of it's deep and gravelly voice. Another dark guardian joined it, apparently a warlock because of the warlock bond on it's arm, and the other distinguished as a titan because of it's bulkier armor and ragged mark on the hip. William decided to speak up and asked "Did you kill those barons?", and the warlock acknowledged the question. "Yes, we did, and we did it to bring you here." the warlock said. It raised another jagged weapon, similar to the one the titan had, and said "We wish to be like our idol... Dredgen Yor. And he hunted guardians like you, so if we wish to be his "children", we must do the same. No hard feelings, of course. William was not prepared for this. He summoned a grenade and held it in his hands. Halberd took a knife in one hand and a rifle in her other hand. "Yeah?" she said, flipping her knife. "Bring it!" she launched a flux grenade towards the warlock as the titan barreled towards William like a locomotive. He threw the magnetic grenade in his hand and the titan ducked past it, actually being propelled forwards even further towards William. The dark titan hit Wiliam like a train. He threw him against a concrete wall with a shoulder charge, and quickly grabbing William's torso, slams him against the ground with both arms. William heard some ribs break and shot the titan with his hand cannon, but his vision began to swim... Three eyes... Jagged teeth... A jagged, black axe, planted in the ground... A name, seared onto his consciousness... G R Y A O R The dark titan slammed William against the ground again and planted his foot against his back. Halberd furiously fought with the Warlock and, noticing the peril of William, threw a knife between the Titan's shoulder blades. The titan yelled and stopped beating William to a pulp and lunged at the hunter, ignoring William entirely. The warlock reached out with the void, grabbed Hal with an invisible hand, and SLAMMED her against a metal railing. The titan took his Thorn and blasted her in the head, killing her. William noticed a bright light in the distance... a glowing figure, astride a descending ship... The two children of Yor noticed the figure too and cursed as a bright bolt of arc careened towards them, and BLASTED the titan's arm off. The figure teleported and arrived on the ground, summoned another bolt of lighting and yelled "You dark, filthy things, leave them alone!" the warlock raised it's hand and lobbed a Nova Bomb as the storm bringer jumped over the explosion. The electric warlock struck with one arc bolt and cut the Warlock's gun in half, as the titan slammed the ground with one hand. A shockwave of arc crashed into the warlock and he staggered back, seemingly defeated by the one - armed fist of havoc. The titan summoned a lightning grenade and then gasped as the storm bringer rose. His armor crackled with arc and hot bolts streamed from his fingertips, shooting towards the dark titan. The titan screamed as he contorted with the pain of the arc being poured into his body, and yelled as the storm bringer used his arc and threw him into his warlock cohort, who was just about to get up and launch a void grenade. The two children of Yor crawled away, defeated, as the storm bringer rushed towards William. Lyra revived Halberd and the bladedancer put William over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. The storm bringer transmatted all of them into his ship. William winced as his ribs shifted from the transmat, and Halberd gave him a worried look. "will he be ok?" The storm bringer looked at her, told something to his ghost, and said "Yes, he will. Guardians are difficult to kill, and this one is no exception. And he is a titan... anyways, we are heading to the tower now to speak with Zavala about this new threat." William sat up in his propped up position. "Who were those guardians that attacked us? They said that they were 'children' of 'Yor', whoever that is." the storm bringer sighed and turned away from Halberd, who was helping his Ghost pilot the ship. "Those 'guardians', although it is questionable if they can be called that now, were The Children Of Yor. They worship and praise the late Dredgen Yor - You know who he is, don't you?" Rush materialized in. "William is relatively new. They haven't told them about corrupted guardians yet." the storm bringer stopped. "Well, I have quite a story to tell you." End of chapter four. Sorry about the shortness, but it is quite late and I need to be sleepin'. So, goodnight. Feel free to leave feedback!

  • Great job When the Stormcaller joins the fight, it gets hard to tell which Warlock is which. I recommend calling them the Stormcaller and the Voidwalker. That would help.

    • Loving the action, and glad that William could at least weather his beating rather well even though he was incapacitated from his vision. Just promise me he'll get a rematch and show those fools what he can really do in a fight ;) Oh and remember that a Guardian can easily recover from broken bones and injuries like that if given a moment to restore themselves. I've noticed a lot of people ignore the Guardian regeneration factor when writing, which does add a lot of peril, but takes away some of the feeling that the character is a Guardian and makes it harder to hav them behave as a Guardian should in combat I'm sorry I took so long to respond, I've had no time on my hands lately and it will remain that way for at least a few more days unfortunately. Keep sending me links to the new chapters, I will keep reading :)
