Just was messing around with some grimoire ideas bout the Taken (FYI I always put my stuff in spoiler boxes I'll warn if it's a real spoiler) [spoiler]Ghost Fragment : Taken 1 [An excerpt of a report filed by an Awoken, addressed to the Queen] Thirty days before the defeat at the Battle of Saturn... ...Oryx has a divine power over these,[stutter], things. They bind onto his own will. The cease never, disobey never. What power could be unleashed with this undying loyalty? Speaking of undying, these beasts are not bound between the constraints of space and time. Their lives are beyond us. Wherever they tread, they bring upon the Blight. (The Blight being a substance made of pure darkness, that births more beasts) The Blight (in great portions) may cast a large toll upon the body. It slowly grasps at light weakening it, lowers brain processing speed, and greatly affects the strength capabilities of the body. I think they are all different races. None all look exactly alike. Some, however, look like other minions of the darkness. Just, corrupted versions. Possibly taken darkness warriors. In my scouting report, I’ve gathered that each individual soldier attacks differently. They all seem to inherit different traits, movement wise and physically. I’ve noticed the small psion looking ones, rapidly multiply themselves; the ones who look like Captains have the ability to rapidly close distance and hurl blinding shadows. In other words, I need my paladins to get more data for an official analysis. So far, I cannot tell how these things exist. We know so little of the Hive’s secrets. But, what we do know that somehow Oryx powers these things. For all we’re aware of, these things heed Oryx and somewhere in between there has to be an internal connection. We need to find this connection, and stop it. Until then, I will keep my soldiers aware. I’m sending a group to the specimen location. For the Reef! [/spoiler]
