Why go in there and week after week get stomped, elo and kd farmed? People usually do not react to abuse by crying for more. They simply leave like a battered house wive. I find it hilarious that the streamers and youtubers, the "I go flawless 20 times each weekend" and "git gud" crowd now complain that their precious game is dying and all that is left is their little incestuous circle jerk each weekend. Because they are the ones who are digging the grave.

 • Game modes like trials kill themselves it's always been like that. Dosen't matter since D2 is around the corner though

 • The game mode isn't the problem it's the sites like guardian.gg/trials report and destiny tracker giving people massive egos with stats like ELO, KD and win streaks. This is the problem with games today people suck up to third party stat sites.

 • True but the game mode is set up to fail

 • I understand, most people will only play it to get 400 light, but for the people who still play for fun with friends, my comment stands for that reason. Hopefully a mode such as this does not exist in D2

 • It's not the game mode. It's some if the ppl who play it.

 • Well it's all the people who play it. The way the game mode is designed it's set up to fail.

 • Good fun for you maybe not the player base as a whole, hence the massive drop in player population.

 • Well that's okay I understand there's game modes people don't enjoy, that's like most of the 6v6 playlists for me, too hectic, too many supers and what not but I've not made a post complaining about them yet

 • That's your choice not to. However, the complaints about trials of osiris really aren't about the game mode elimination but about how certain trials of osiris rewards are locked behind the lighthouse. When gear was much harder to come by in Iron Banner players complained bitterly about it and Bungie listened.

 • Maybe players who gather 40 wins over a weekend should have the lighthouse and all the loot unlocked, just not the emblem, that would fix it without ruining how it already plays. Fair point but the difference being iron banner rewards were down to RNG, the lighthouse rewards are down to you as a player. They also never increased exotic drops or VOG armor drops in year 1, it took me nearly a year to get suros regime and by that point it had been nerfed about 3 times lol

 • Getting rid of the scorecard would draw players back into trials.
Fair point but the difference being iron banner rewards were down to RNG, the lighthouse rewards are down to you as a player.
The differences are the following: - Iron Banner has matchmaking so players don't have to worry about being excluded from being able to participate for not having certain stats. - In Iron Banner winning and losing doesn't effect your ability to get loot, making players more inclined to continue playing even if they aren't winning. - In Iron Banner losing multiple games doesn't cost you progress that you've already made. You aren't forced to start over from scratch, unlike with Trials of Osiris.
They also never increased exotic drops or VOG armor drops in year 1, it took me nearly a year to get suros regime and by that point it had been nerfed about 3 times lol
Bungie altered how loot would be rewarding in raids after VoG due to community feedback, making it easier to get the rewards. 3oC also was introduced to try and offset RnG in addition to XuR being in the game from day 1 to ensure everyone had a chance at getting an exotic they were chasing.
