All the casuals and non-gud players need to refuse to play it. Let the elitist scumbag snowflakes just play each other. Imo trials needs an overhaul to entice normal players in. It should be fun for all and content should not be locked out to great players. Don't get me started on the streamer scum.

  • I've been flawless..... What's your point. My argument is in favour of those who try every week and fail every week. You are obviously a moron, and one which I should not waste my time responding to.

  • Also you've been flawless over a year ago. With subpar stats so u are in the "git gud" category

  • I have not played trials for that long..... When I did play I played with friends, not desperately seeking better players to help me. I play pvp for fun, kd means nothing to me. You'll start to get owned in trials soon enough, people have had enough failing every week. Making the competition much harder.

  • The odds of getting 9 wins in 10 tries is 0.977% without factoring in skill differences. Just a bit worse than hitting the 3 digit lottery straight. Add in skill, if you aren't in the top 20% of the players in the pool, you are fighting pretty crummy odds. If you enjoy playing for fun, bounties, the challenge of playing better players, etc., that's your choice and good on you for being able to play knowing you aren't going to do that well (I can't do this, I'm too competitive and hate getting stomped). But if you're in that bottom 1/2 and are holding on to the hope that you'll make the lighthouse, I'm hoping you'll understand the odds you're actually up against. It's more in the 1 in 1000 range or worse, those top players you face in the last couple of rounds are going to beat you 9 out of 10 times or more. Bungie needs people to feed the machine or Trials will break.

  • Well ya but the problem is no one has to play it to begine with. We can let the 1% have at it and when they get feed up from the challenge it will collapse.

  • That is true. But the concept of the game mode is one that should be highly enjoyable for all. Why is the majority of the player Base excluded.

It's designed like that. It's a winner take all game mode with staked results almost garenting the same group of people will win. Game designs like this normally collapse in on themselves with destiny's player base being so big it's taking alot longer to do so but it's happening finally. The player base is dieing and as it continues to shrink it will eventually no longer be fun for the top tiers and be to hard for them to do carriers for money.

  • Then please, don't play it, if you don't like it. But don't ruin it for those of us who enjoy it. I don't complain the raid is too long for me even though that's how I feel, I've never completed hard mode because I can't get a team but I'm not gonna cry

  • I don't anymore. Your just worried that you would get matched against people that would destroy you instead of destroying people who just want to have fun. If you can't complete the raid that's your problem. Even the noobiest players can do them.

  • The main reason I play trials is because I think it's fun to watch back playing against streamers. I don't get why people are salty about it, it's a tournament style playlist that gets harder as you progress through it. The rewards are nothing special, can all be obtained through just playing. Granted you may not get the emblem or the gun with a different skin but honestly they don't do anything. If you don't make it then you need more practice, it's not streamers or other players fault is it?

  •
I don't get why people are salty about it, it's a tournament style playlist that gets harder as you progress through it.
That might be exactly why people dont like it. Destiny's playerbase has never been about pushing itself. Not only that the challenge is too difficult for the vast majority of players.
The rewards are nothing special, can all be obtained through just playing. Granted you may not get the emblem or the gun with a different skin but honestly they don't do anything.
Then I dont see why players like yourself are so against allowing others players to get those rewards.

  • One major problem. The game mode fails at its objective. It dosen't get harder sometimes it's a god vs a peanut first match. It has no skill based rating taken into account meaning for most too tier players it's easier then regular crucible. That with the fact that many people take up carriers (the mass majority of first flawless these days) which is a insult to the community, and the game mode, as players litterally have to self hinder themselves for a challenge. There's another 100 thing I can rant on about but I'm tired of talking about trials and how it runs this game.

  • I don't understand this argument. Trials was invented as the endgame for "competitive" PvP players right. It's like their raid, so it wouldn't make sense for casuals and non-good players to even be interested. Apart from influencing all the weapon balancing, I think it's got it's own place in the game providing for good PvP players (exploits excluded of course). Streamers doing it is their own bag and I don't much mind about that I find those streams incredibly boring so I don't bother with them.

  • You can't compare ToO to raids. Many casuals have multiple raid completions and people don't pay for raid completions.

I can easily compare Trials of Osiris to raids. When Bungie made it they said on multiple occassions that Trials was endgame content for those who wanted to play PvP. Many casuals may have multiple raid completions but that is due to the nature of the game being made easier and easier. Trust me, those of us who yearn for PvP would like a return to the experience we had in year 1 VoG where you used to be scared of a minotaur and need backup. At present we have more tools to bring to any situation. WoTM is quite a cake walk so to an extent you can carry someone through, though you would have difficulty with this when doing the heroic challenge as you would require someone to know what they were doing and pull their weight. If you want a comparison, Normal raid is to Iron banner as Heroic Challenge is to ToO. Lastly I'm glad you don't see the vile act of earning money from a recreational game in the raids. If that ever happened, please point them in my direction so my clan can save them that disgusting trade.

  • You're dividing the playerbase by saying it's PVP players endgame. I don't understand why people like to play pve and blame people playing pvp for crying or vice versa. It's the same game. I enjoy all content, have completed every raid and gone flawless as well. This game would be so boring without 1 or the other. You're comparing apples to Oranges when you compare raid to trials. They aren't close to the same. Also going flawless is harder by a long shot than beating aksis

  • Of course I'm splitting the player base because that is the way the was presented. When this game started it was mainly PvP with crucible as an option. VoG opened, then the Queen's event opened, then Iron banner opened (first PvP event that was level based) then Crota's end, then it was supposed to be HoW which would also introduce ToO. HoW was delayed and trials came in in between. Until that point the game was heavy on PvP. Now I'm not crying about PvP but it can't be denied that the game is balanced around PvP. I enjoy 6s but not ToO. If you're a player that enjoys both then excellent you get the most out of the game but when the game started people were mainly in it for the PvE experience and running raids together as a team. And of course I'm comparing apples to oranges. It's PvE and PvP they're very definition says they are different. Once again the point I made is that Bungie the developers of the game said several times that the Trials Of Osiris is endgame content for people who like PvP. Don't get mad at me for that quote, they are the ones who defined it that way. The last statement is also debatable. As I pointed out in the previous post, there are a lot more tools to help you beat a raid now than the Destiny Truth Cast this week so you can listen to the exact same points I made about this there. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/222208403?sort=0&page=0

  • Let the "competitive" players play each other then and let the casuals play each other. The snowflakes just want to destroy on the casuals every game, without the weaker players trying each week the more exclusive the items will become. If more casuals stop trying the slightly skilled will start to struggle and in the end it will be only the snowflakes left who will also not like it anymore. Give everyone an incentive to play (not getting stomped most games) everyone will have more fun.
