As soon as I saw how many upvotes her post had today, I wondered if it was another holiday and all the virgins were not in school.

Uses union membership as validation filter. Credibility gutted worse than a splicer experiment gone wrong.

Union membership in the arts industry is the one thing that protects your rights as an artist and makes sure you get paid what you deserve to be getting paid. If you worked in the arts you would understand this better. -
I never belonged to a union when i worked in the arts. I'd have to double-check but i don't think the artists I've hired in the past belonged to a union either. Getting fairly compensated for your labor is not relegated to those who work in the arts. And unfortunately neither are those duped into believing only the merits of unions while oblivious to their detriments.

The film and performance arts unions have made every movie and television show you've ever seen. You know nothing of which you speak lol. -
Apologies, I failed to realize that only film and performance artists actually qualify as artists. How narrow minded of me. If unions supplied labor for every movie and television show produced in the US, they would have quite the monopolized leverage. I'm sure everyone is getting fairly paid, indeed.

I failed to realize that you only considered painters as artists; because film, photography, dance, acting, and music all have unions... none the less considering we were talking about VOICE ACTORS in which unionized work is the norm, I'd have to again remind you that you have no idea what you are talking about. -
You're exactly right. Teach us more, we're begging. It's painful not knowing how the real world works.

I'm the one that knows what he is talking about, you were literally talking out of your ass from your very first reply, just for the sake of replying, then you continue to back track out of your statement... I'm pretty sure your actions define insecure lol -
No, you're the one naive enough to think that possessing mandatory membership to a union provides one with any type of competency.

Actually competency is required to join the union as you need a reputable body of work that proves said competency in order to even join, it's also not mandatory, but most would pursue it to better their careers regardless. -
"it's also not mandatory" "The film and performance arts unions have made every movie and television show you've ever seen." Gotcha. But the best part is this: "competency is required to join the union" Rich beyond belief. The only people who would believe this are the people being sold to, to join. Or perhaps, it's just that the performing arts unions are distinctly different from every. single. other. union. in existence. Not saying there are not, in fact, competent people who are members of said unions, but you are mistaken that union membership guarantees competency. Are they licensed and require continuing annual educational requirements? Or perhaps this is why I've never heard a poor VO or witnessed an abysmal acting performance (or maybe it's just that those had fake membership cards?)

There you go again speaking about something you have no understanding of, you are the definition of ignorant. Anyways I'm done with talking to a wall, have a good one! -
Life will teach you better than I can via a few posts on a video game forum, so you'll be just fine down the road. Not sure about the insecurity thing, though. Good luck, have fun.
