Have to mildly disagree with you, if i have time i still do a friday run with sone of my y1 frienda and we try and if we make it then hoorah. Then i spend the rest of my week either running stacks to get my characters flawless or (free) carries to help others. If i carry on past 9 wins its either because someone wants scarab or I'm looking for good competition. I'm never trying to intentionally block somebody, but this isn't meant for everybody. Only the best of the pvp community should be getting flawless.

You say it is only for the best of the best, yet you also say that you carry people to the lh or to look for scarab emblem. Do you not see a problem in those contradictory statements? If the lh is only for the best of the best then you shouldn't be in support of anyone lesser making it there, which means no carries. If you think everyone should have a chance to see it then that would make sense why you help people through a carry service. Make up your mind and pick a side. Is it for the best of the best or should everyone have a shot? As it stands, you saying both are okay is nothing but hypocrisy.

It should be for the best, but it currently isn't. Only reason i run carries is to help friends and make myself better. If they make it so it's for the best i obviously won't do carries but as it is even if I don't do carries somebody else will so I might as well.

If the LH should be reserved for those who can make it only, then you should not be able to carry under average players. Elite PvPers, pro players and streamers all have this hypocritical double standard. The current system allows it and while none of the elites dare to admit it, they really enjoy having the LH gate keys. Lame, very lame.

The funny thing is that the lower the population goes and the harder carries will become. OP really nailed it when he compared the ToO population to a snake eating itself until he eats his own head. Soon ToO population will go under 50k and the LH will become something unattainable eveb for elite pvper.

As I said, completely hard headed and ignored my point that if all the casuals started playing again it would just solve the problem.

Non I'm not hard headed and you are suggesting something that you know can't happen on top of blaming the casuals for the current state of the population. In a perfect world ToO would come back to over 300k this weekend and most players would be happy. It's not going to happen. The most realistic way to bring back the population is to change the system.

Suggestions like making the LH accessible with 9 wins no matter how many losses. Some dude suggested that losses should remove you a win. A simpler fix would be to make MM CB instead pf tournament based. But hey, Derek Caroll thinks Destiny's crucible should be the next MLG shooter. The game is nearly impossible to balance, most maps are not symmetric and on top of that it's a P2P game.

So make it nice and easy to get flawless so it means nothing. Sounds good. I could go for connection based matchmaking and dedicated servers though. I'm assuming that by p2p you meant peer to peer or player to player and not pay to play.

Oh I've made it once yeah and I have zero shame admitting that if we did'nt have that 2k elo guy, we would never have done. Even with him, we barely made it. That doesn't make any sense. This is a video game not a professional sport.

So just average should succeed at the highest level of competition in a game. Okay, beginning of year two i got stomped because i was average, so i started my grind and I got better so i could get there. I went from a .9kd to a 1.8. Instead of whining i got better... But sure, make it so the causal people can do what i spent countless hours grinding to do easily. I'm done here.

I said that any above average fireteam should stand a chance, which isn't the case. ToO should encourage the under and average player to play, improve, get better and succeed at one reasonable point. Any average or even above average player who tries ToO at this point will get destroy so hard that they won't even bother to try some more.

Typing error, was meant to say just above average. I made a new account for rise of iron a couple of weeks ago(this one) and ran with some of my y1 friends that aren't very good at the game. Didn't face any elitists or streamers. I rarely play the Super tryhards until my flawless game. But as I said, it's whatever. Make it easier, I'll just go flawless easier and people will keep complaining until they get their hands held all the way there. I had a .25kd kid message me cussing me out for "ruining his flawless" on the first game. I was double sniping lmao. I don't sweat on scrubs, i challenge myself to beat them.

Nobody was complaining about the Y1mm of ToO and they changed it anyway. Now people complain because it has become too hard and that's because of the system changes.

I faced plenty of people in y1 and were friends with lots of people that complained about it being too hard lmao. As I said 3 times now, go ahead and make it easier for me to get flawless, I won't mind.

And don't get me wrong man, I don't have anything against high skilled players going to the lighthouse and lower skilled players not going to lighthouse. It's deserved. But the trials is filled with such high skilled players sticking a casual in there only to get slaughtered 10 times to walk away from it. I walked away from it and re-designed I don't really need an ornament or bragging rights.

Elim is just my favorite game mode, so this is elim plus bragging rights so that makes me happy.

I disagree. The divide between top to tier players and casuals is beyond repair. I'm an average to above average player. I get matched against guys with 100+ wins 2100 elo I have no chance let alone somebody less than me

It doesn't need adjusted. The casual players just need to actually play. They all stopped playing which means you're more likely to run into streamers and sweats. There's no reason that .75 kd players should succeed in end game pvp content. That would destroy the purpose. But you're too bullheaded to accept that so have a nice rest of your day sir or maam.

At first when there was over 300k players per week-end, the access to the LH diminished for about 15-20%, which wasn't so bad. The thing is, the lower the population goes and the lower the chances to access that same LH goes as well. See, I'm a decent amateur basketball player, but even if I practice 2-3 hours a day, i'll never stand a chance vs NBA or even college players. This is ToO right now, NBA vs -blam!-n neighbourhood court league. No thanks Bungie.
