Unfortunately there is no way to revert your game to a previous version. In order to even play Destiny you must have the most up to date version. The DLCs you install are just license keys which unlock content for you. Uninstalling a DLC will not affect what the vendors have for sale.

Just for reference, I believe this is the video OP was referring to. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=O0q6pSdRvwQ

;) Don't trust it. I have multiple accounts with less licenses. The vendor items are the same.
-
I'm good actually. I bought and held on to my hawksaw just before RoI dropped. I had seen the same video while watching a pretty good video about autorifles and knew where the idea came from. Just thought some reference would be helpful.
-
I think I am going to buy another account and just purchase the Taken King so I can access those weapons again.
-
That still will not work. The vendors have the same items for every person who owns Destiny, regardless of which DLCs they own.
-
What about just the original Destiny? Since the light level is completely different, and the levelling system is completely different.
-
You would still need to download the current version of Destiny, which will still be the same.
-
I mean it's worth a try. Even if i'm let down, it's ok.
-
Ah ok, someone told me that you could do this.

I wouldn't believe everything you see on the internet ;)

Edited by OMWG: 1/9/2017 7:11:59 PMThere are videos on youtube that told you can (They are from XB1 version). After the guy has uninstalled ROI he had no access to most things (no nightfall, no daily, no PvP) but he can go to the tower and buy former weapons like the hawksaw. Edit: And I think the video is right. Why should a person which didn't own ROI should get access to ROI weapons?
-
Unfortunately the videos are fake.

Lol, I've never heard that before ;)
