I guess I've never went in and checked with the hunter. It changes what it says when you actually go into the piece of armor and look at the perks, while the warlock and titan says the exact same thing when you both hover over the item and press Y on the item to view upgrades. It's a bit misleading in my opinion. For example, when you hover over a warlock gauntlet, it says "Increase melee attack speed" and when you press Y on said piece of gear, the perk "Snap Discharge" says "Increase melee attack speed." With the hunter, it says "Increase melee increase speed", but when you press Y on that piece of gear, the perk "Switchblade" says "Increase melee attack cooldown time", which makes one think that it is talking about the cooldown of Throwing Knife, since EVERYTHING else it talks about with a "cooldown" refers to something that needs to recharge, like a grenade, super, or actually melee charge like Throwing Knife for the hunter or Thunderstrike for a titan. Not just a REGULAR melee charge. Does that make sense?

I understand what you are saying, but many things have cooldowns before you can do the action again such as sprinting even if it does not have a recharge meter it still has a cooldown. Switchblade lets you do the melee animation action again faster, try it with and without the perk you can then experience the difference.
