If you haven't played New Vegas, make your Fallout memories with that game first, so much better. You only NEED two tips for that game.
1: Avoid Quarry Junction
2: Avoid... pretty much the entire westernmost mountain range.
However, counter-tip, once you have an AMR with explosive rounds from GRA, disregard both previous tips.
As for Fallout 4... dunno, collect a lot of junk components I guess? Game is pretty easy and kind of bland in my opinion. Although I will admit, Far Harbor is one of the coolest DLCs I've ever played, on par with the entirety of NV imo.
