I've had him for 14 years, and he hasn't acted a day older.
But I woke up today, and my cat was missing.
He was still there, and he was still breathing. But my cat wasn't there.
He doesn't respond when you call his name, and he doesn't eat. He barely moves and endlessly stares at the wall.
He's had problems since he was little, and I'm suspecting it's gonna be kidney failure.
Thanks for reading, I just needed somewhere to talk about it.
Edit: He has resumed drinking water. Still having trouble getting him to eat.
Edit 2: He is cleaning himself, eating and drinking now. But he is still attached to his bed, as he is very weak.

Glad to hear the cat is recovering. Hope for the best.

He sounds fine. Probably just got a bug that gave him a good kick in the ass. If you haven't already you might want to take him to the vet to be sure he's all good
-
Good.
I'm sorry.
-
Good. I hate cats anyway

Check for ticks?

Good luck man, I currently have the first cat I've ever owned (had dogs my whole life) and it's definitely a good experience.

Put him down better than suffering because you can't let go My pit was 12 and I grew up with him but there's a point where if you love him enough it's better to help him go.

I know how you feel. A long time ago, we had a cat. He jumped into our clothes dryer without us knowing about it. We also had a cat more recently, this cat fell into a road gutter and starved. We couldn't do anything to help him, the fire department couldn't do anything. I have plenty more cat stories. They are all really sad.

My cat is 19 and in perfect health.
-
My cat who I had in 1st grade died in my bed next to me overnight from cardiac arrest at age 7
-
Let's be real. No one cares about the cat of someone they have never met in person.
-
My condolences. My cat began showing symptoms of that as well about 15 years ago when i had her. She died overnight, so hold him close and comfort him. He knows he is loved.

Ugh, i come to off topic for quality shiet posting, edgy responses, memes and brief laughter. I was reading and getting more excited as i was nearing the end just anticipating the punchline till i saw there was none and this post was legit. Im reporting this thread, enjoy your ban.

Things will work out man. I had a dog that died a few years ago to cancer. Losing a pet is like losing a real family member. I hope he gets better
-
I had a cat (before I had even started school) that died... he had been having seizures the weeks before his death, and we were watching him happily, we had been playing with him, and he suddenly just froze.. he was 13
-
Same thing happened with my cat, just a pro tip. Don't throw the cat at the wall as it doesn't work.
-
Mine died in my arms last year. He lived 16 years and I had had him since he was a kitten. And my dog is 4 with a 9 year life expectancy. I pick great pets.
-
Get him checked, or put him down yourself. Waiting is such a risky thing. If he's suffering, how long would you wait?
-
Should of got a dog :3
-
Im gonna sound like a dick But is best if you mentally prepare for the worse Kitty had long good life and u gave him dat life fam
-
It's possible he just feels like shit. My cat was acting really odd one night and 24 hours later he was fine again
-
Listen, I'd take him to the vet as soon as possible. If he can't be helped its better not to let it suffer, I had a cat who had a perforated stomach and cancer in his lungs. He couldn't eat and was in ICU for three weeks before we decided it was time. Before that it was about a week before we even took him to the vet, even longer because they didn't know the problem. Weeks of suffering for that poor cat, and he was gone mentally for the last few days anyway... Im never making that mistake again for my other cat, and you shouldn't make it either.

Hmmm. Cats are very susceptible to Kidney failure. Does it smell like urine? Bad breathe, greasy fur? Take it to the vet, if the damage isn't too severe, medication can be prescribed.
-
It's just his time man. Nothing you can do.
