Happy Holidays, forum dwellers!
Since it's that time of year again, I have been pondering my thoughts and researching holiday mythology. Now, many years have passed since I woke up to the realization that holiday characters like Santa are myths, so I decided that I would shed some light on why Santa Claus is not worth teaching children as fact.
Let me give you a pretty straightforward, logical description of the old man in a jolly red suit...
A morbidly obese elderly male who spies on children 24/7, is at the head of a slave labour force of elves, breaks into children's homes at night and leaves gifts for children, based on what they wanted all year, which he found out by his spying.
It sounds kinda creepy when you rationalize it. Do you really want to teach your children that not only is lying perfectly acceptable, but breaking & entering and invasion of privacy are not crimes and are also perfectly acceptable?
