Old style sparrows negotiate turns better.
Trick sparrows (new style) are not as good at taking turns, but they can do tricks which refill your quick strafe booster. So there is a trade off.
The raid sparrows are the fastest with their booster, but they can not do tricks and if you do not know how to use the turbo boost properly you can blow up. The raid sparrows also hold the records for the fastest completions on the tracks.
So there are pros and cons to each type. If you do not do well with one, try another style. Just like choosing the gun that best suits your style for PvP

Interesting to know, especially because my experience has been exactly opposite. I corner better on my trick sparrow (Aeon Glow) than on any of the older-types like SnowScream or the new one from the book (EV-31 Nightbird). Sadly I've never done a Raid so I cant experiment with how those handle. I think I'll run Lysander's Cry tonight and see how it feels. It's older-style, but still a trick-sparrow, so maybe that has something to do with it. Thanks for your input.

Yeah, that is why I recommend trying each style that you can, to see what feels best.
