I'm sorry this happened to you, but Bungie will not give you anything.
However, we can try to find out why you were disconnected and attempt to prevent it from happening again in the future.
Did you receive any error codes?

No worries, been trying to get the helmet for weeks to complete the set and felt let down. Played through the next reset and get my helmet, so yay! I don't recall an error message, but do recall the screen went black then it dropped me to the Title screen to start Destiny.
