There was an unpopular N64 game called Winback, it was basically a terrible ripoff of Metal Gear Solid. Anyway, it counted ammo in magazines, not bullets, every time you reload, regardless of how much ammo is left in the mag, you lose all of it for a new Mag. Didn't catch on until an hour in, and I kept wondering where the hell all my ammo is going.

I've come across some modern games like that. I had to adjust to keep ammo.

Really? I mean, props to them for trying to make it semi-realistic, but to me a mechanic like that is just plain annoying. Which games?

I struggle to remember; I know they weren't "retro" video games. They were more modern...I never played them again, so that's probably why I can't remember their names.
