Why are people so sweaty in 3v3?
*A Wild Gringo has appeared*
I am not the best at pvp by any means of the words. I generally play for fun and can do quite well and can fail quite miserably. I am the first to admit that I am not great at pvp I enjoy PvP a lot, and play it a lot. I stick to the 6v6 and the free for all modes and enjoy it. I rarely ever get hate mail (unless Iron Banner's in town) and all is well. I recently started playing Salvage for the grimoire and noticed a lot of people are sweaty. In 6v6 you have the pub-stompers but this is an all out tryhard fest. Take my first game recently. I played fine. I got an awful KD compared to my teamates but I would chock that up to actually playing the objective (I captured 6, they got 1 and 2). After the game ended (we lost) I got a message. I will just but the conversation down below. (All grammar or spelling mistakes are as they were spelled in the message
thanks for loosing the game for us
-him
If you want to play sweaty, play Trials or private matches.
- me
trials isnt sweaty
-him
i dont like loosing, and if you do then there is something wrong with you
-him
if losing is so awful then don't play with randoms who suck.
- me He then blocked me. I continued to play several more matches with fairly sweaty people (A lot of TLW's, Matador 64's, and the like) but what draws people to try so hard at 3v3? Is it just some unwritten rule that you can't screw around in 3v3 or what?

 • So do you load into a raid planning to screw around and expect to fail and not finish it? (The equivalent of losing a PVP match) Year 1 when Nightfall was going to orbit if your team wiped, did you go into it with the attitude of wanting to just "do a casual Nightfall"? It is PVP, competitive game mode. You you don't plan on winning, why do it? Then on to the next part - what you constitute as "sweaty". As a disclaimer: I'm not a Last Word user, and if I use a shotgun, I've used many. Not stuck to any particular name. That being said, I have played with some AWESOME PVP players who absolutely suck with guns I am lethal with. And the so called Meta guns they are Godlike with, I can't use for shit. So you play to win with guns you are at your best with. That doesn't make you sweaty, that makes you smart. Now if I want to try my hand at a new weapon in PVP, I do so in 6v6. The stakes are lower, with more players on the board, if you fail your team can make up the difference. In 3v3 the stakes are higher and you need to carry your own weight, not be a liability. 3v3 is where the real competition comes into play. So it's not "sweaty" - it's actual competition. I go in to every 3v3 with my best loadouts. I play my hardest to win. Am I upset if I lose? No. I often send messages telling them "awesome match, nothing but respect" since they beat me at my best. No disrespect by the way. Just giving you a different point of view.
