Remove SBMM

You want feedback? I'll give you feedback, and I'll keep it simple: remove SBMM. Who in their right mind thinks SBMM with P2P is a good idea? The lag in this game was abysmal to begin with, and it gave people with red bars invincibility and an advantage back in the day. Now it's even worse because not only do you have to deal with super sweaty and toxic players literally every single game, you have to deal with the terrible lag, which has somehow gotten even worse. Nobody should be forced into SBMM to begin with. How can people say it's connection-based when you're playing six sweaty red bars from the other side of the planet? It's bad enough there's no balance in this game. SBMM has ruined Destiny. I've spent thousands upon thousands of hours playing this game, literally the only game I've been able to enjoy recently, trying to distract myself from my crippling suicidal depression. I keep trying and trying to give it a chance, but I just can't anymore. The vast majority of this community wants SBMM gone. And yeah, I get it's benefited some people, but it -blam!-s over everyone else in the process. Those people are just gonna have to get better. I started at a 0.2 K/D when I first started playing and brought all of my K/Ds up to 2.0 or higher with hard work and practice, although they've all plummeted as of late because I literally can't kill anyone anymore with this lag, nevermind the lack of balance. Either CBMM or bust. Not a single game or company that has implemented SBMM in the past had a positive response from their community. In response to the no life trolls: don't waste your time telling me to "git gud" or "learn to play" or to "kill myself", 'cause I'm already dead inside, and don't tell me to get better internet. I have a 75 down 5 up wired connection with a $200 router that I both bought specifically to help with this game's terrible connection issues, but I guess it was all just a waste. Oh, and don't waste your time saying "u mad bro?" because yeah, obviously I'm mad. I feel like I've wasted hundreds on dollars and thousands of hours of my time here because, for some reason, Bungie doesn't know how to balance their game or actually listen to legitimate complaints from this community. I can't play with friends anymore because, since they aren't as skilled as I am, they just end up getting demolished from the sweaty players I normally deal with. To top this rant off, and the main reason for it: I got banned from Crucible for two months just now because my "connection is unstable." Are you shitting me? I'M the problem? MY 75 down 5 up wired connection is UNSTABLE? Yeah, it's definitely not SBMM and P2P working together (or not) to -blam!- players over by placing them with and against people from the other side of the -blam!-ing planet. No, definitely not. And people wonder why the fan base has virtually disappeared. -blam!- SBMM.

  • Firstly, SBMM has been a part of the game since day one. Secondly, over about 2mbps down and 1mbps up your bandwidth and router are irrelevant, your connection quality is dependent on, to some degree your ISP, and mainly how your home network is configured. You can buy a $600 router but if you configure it wrong you'll still have issues Thirdly, you've maintained a 50-60% win ratio over the last 3-4 weeks so you're obviously not struggling, and you're ahead of the 50% win ratio that Bungie aim for with their match making settings. It's fine to get frustrated but you should understand what you are complaining about before you go and complain about it.
