How is abortion, okay?

It's not okay, that's why it's often times a last resort.
"Why don't you carry it to term and put it up for adoption."
Why does a woman have to put her life on hold for 9 months, have medical checkups, pay for medical checkups, maybe leave her job if it's too strenuous for her to have to carry a child, deal with medical issues, buy new clothes, change her diet, and more just because a condom broke or the birth control didn't work? Plus, if you want woman to not have abortions, then things like planned parenthood need funded, birth control needs to be covered in health plans or be cheaper, and the morning after pill shouldn't be $70 for one pill.
-
You've made a great point here. But what about people who didn't use protection, should they be able to abort?
-
Most women can be allergic to spandex in condoms, though birth control and other contraceptions are expensive, the morning after pill is often times $70 for a single pill. Often times birth control fails, the percentage is low and chances are rare but it happens. So when it happens they have to go with an abortion. Even this situation is rare since birth control has to fail.
-
Well, what I meant is like when teens or stupid people don't even try to use protection. Should they be able to abort?
-
If teens are having sex without protection there is an extremely high chance they're doing it without their parents knowledge, plus they're teenagers, they have school. They shouldn't carry a child they won't be able to afford, nor should they go through the rest of their school year pregnant. The stress from school work, fitting in, and more can cause developmental issues in the child, or a premature birth. I don't know what you mean by "stupid people." People like to have sex, maybe they ran out of condoms so they thought "If I pull out we'll be fine." Most people aren't educated on sex. Sex Education is important, but schools only teach abstinence instead of actual ways to prevent pregnancy. I don't believe there are people who constantly have unprotected sex without contraceptions in the world going to the abortion clinic every day/week aborting a child. The clinic would inform them of contraception and often times gives them free condoms.
-
Well, for example, in Mexico you can go to any hospital/clinic and ask for free comdoms, and even like that there are a lot of teens getting pregnant.
-
Eh, teenagers are afraid to ask about condoms most of the time. Fear of judgement. While the condoms are there, they feel extremely nervous. Plus, most teens don't know the repercussions of unsafe sex. They feel it won't happen to them.
-
Then, we need better sex ed, right?
-
We do indeed
-
Imagine weeding out a sapling because you don't want to or can't deal with a tree. That's not deforestation and abortion isn't murder. You'd need to be self aware for it to be.

Why is a miscarriage a tragedy and abortion okay?
-
Miscarriage isn't consensual or sometimes the mothers fault.
-
And what's the difference between them? What is it that makes it a tragedy? In the end if abortion isn't murder then a miscarriage is literally nothing.
-
People want the baby in the case of miscarriage. It's like if I dropped an ice cream I wanted on a hot day I wouldn't be happy. If an ice cream gets drop in the south pole that would've tasted bad barely anyone would care. Plus both a miscarriage and abortion honestly don't bother me. Some bloke probably get's shot every other day in New York and I don't bat an eye, why bother doing the same for a baby?
-
The analogy isn't the same. Also, it's always a tragedy when a human, innocent life is lost...

Edited by WickedFluffyVT: 11/11/2016 11:59:02 PMI'm not with Abortion entirely, but if you get -blam!- and become pregnant from said -blam!-, you should have every right to abort. Considering you weren't planning it, and you didn't want it. EDIT: Blams are rape
-
Why not just replace the blams with rape?

I'm sorry, English isn't my first language. What I tried to say is to not be rude in your answer. Does that make sense?
