He is far from a genius. In fact, he is stupid as hell.
But I have to admit, he is very clever.

He's pretty smart to be a billionaire. He may not have a ton of common sense, but he definitely has business intelligence.

Edited by Jphn_33: 11/13/2016 3:40:03 PMI'd argue against that. Many of his business ventures have gone down poorly, and he has been forced to file for bankruptcy 6 times, if I am not mistaken. I do believe he owes money to many people as well. Furthermore, a good amount of the money he has was inherited from his father. I'd argue that he is fairly good at building his 'brand', however, which is where part of being clever comes in. He has been able to make people think that the name Trump is synonymous with success and money, despite his shortcomings. This may be due, in part, to his book "The Art of the Deal" and the show inspired by it, "The Apprentice" You might also say he has a silver tongue in some cases.

Well yeah, but he's a billionaire. It's kind of hard to have no business education and become a billionaire.

That much is true. I wouldn't say he is a brilliant businessman, but he is still a businessman nonetheless.

I mean, he graduated from one of the top business schools in the country. He played the media like a fiddle. All odds were against him and he won. Gotta give him respect for that.

Not quite. The aspect of being 'clever' is not necessarily tied to your intelligence. Being clever isn't so much being smart, but how you use what you know to your advantage, and how good you are at doing that.
