The LORE of The Dojo

The world of Tatakai is rich with history, culture, people, and much more. But, much of this history and records of its people have been lost. It is up to the people of the dojo to recover these facts, and bring them into light. Any form of LORE will be created here. Whether it be of things the dojo has done in the last two years, or of history that has happened so much before. LORE can also dive into that of groups of people, areas of the world and as said before, history. A team will be recruited to create the LORE of this richly populated world. REPLY here to sign up. I will hand pick certain people to do so. (Or, if there's not many people wanting to do it, I'll just take em in). Along with this though, if you ever make a plot or quest, you can put your own LORE here. The team is just for creating the world. Everyone else can grow on it. (For Dojo members only)

Origins "...And the Great and Terrible Mother of Creation descended from the sky and unto our world. A mere rock it was, floating amidst a sea of darkness. But then she took it into her hands, and molded it like clay into Her image. That image was of something... beyond that we know. That was the image of life itself." -Rough translation of an excerpt from a collection of texts known as the Divinium Lumen, in which is detailed the modification and seeding of the planet Tatakai. First there were stars amidst the darkness of space. Then, there was life. Civilizations that somehow came to be in the eternal void of nothing. It was with one of these groups called the Precursors that the carbon-based beings on Tatakai came into existence. As far as we know, they were placed here. The Precursors An ancient race that somehow initially came into existence in the early days of universal life, the Precursors were highly intelligent beings responsible for the seeding of a large amount of known life. It is unknown whether or not they exist in a fashion similar to us, other known life, or anything thought to exist in the known universe. However, they were still mortal beings. With the destruction of their world along with the annihilation of their star, they built what is known World Makers, pyramid-like spacecraft controlled by a central super-intelligence (similar to that of an AI). It is said that this is based off of the Precursor's own uploaded consciousnesses, but that is still unknown. These "Creators" were sent adrift in space in an attempt to find and "adapt" potentially habitable worlds, possibly in an effort to restore the Precursor Civilization. One such found a suitable candidate that would soon come to be known as Tatakai... Initial Creation of Life A super-intelligence (known only by the names Her, It, Mother, Creator, and others similar), along with the pyramid-like craft dubbed The Prometheus, arrived on Tatakai early in its initial formation and history. With it came the design of a Stage One Master Seed and it's subsets, in which the genetic information for most basic life used to convert and sustain the planet at a habitable state (such as most forms of bacteria and primordial single-celled lifeforms). This was used as a staging ground for more "advanced" types of life, which was still based off of a similar origin. [Note: It is still unknown where most of the water came from. Perhaps it was also by design.] This led to the deployment of a number of additional Master Seed sets in a period known as Stage Two, which was responsible for the formation of more advanced life such as ocean creatures, mammals, and a number of other native species' (many of them now extinct do to advancements in space travel and planetary trade). The Making of a World "So then the Great and Terrible Mother of Creation looked upon her new world, and knew that it was near-perfect. A place that would serve as a beautiful beacon of civilization and life. And so, she would take it upon herself to create those that walk this land on this very day, to serve a higher purpose of beauty and complexity. Yet then, we would soon realize that we indeed weren't meant to live lavishly in this world, but that we were merely slaves to a higher power..." Stage Three: The Creation of the "Humans" and the Prime Descendants Next came the final stage of Tatakai's seeding. The most advanced beings on the planet, the "human" species was created to fulfill one singular purpose; to build the Mother's structures and devices. And, as a whole, they were pretty successful. Yet she led them to believe that the world was meant for them. Which, in fact, it wasn't. Next came the highly advanced beings know as the Prime Descendants, human-like beings that possessed extraordinary abilities. They served as both overseers for the slaves and potential vessels for Her and the remnants of Precursor Consciousness. What they didn't know, however, was that they were also being used to create something else... The Device Across the planet, the Mother's slaves would end up facilitating the creation of system-wide constructs that connect into a complex, multi-stage network of "machines" that served purposes not clearly (or commonly) known. With analysis, this "Device" has been determined to be a defensive/last resort mechanism to protect Her against an unknown threat.
WIP. Early planet lore that Pants gave me the go ahead to do a while back. Just now getting to writing it down.
• Refugee Islands The refuge islands. Some say that the islands were created for the sole purpose of giving people a new life. Others say, it's where people's lives end. Those that have lost everything, and have seen too much, live on this island desperately trying to continue living, even through their difficult times.

    • BE WARNED. There's alot To Link The Flame A group of members traveled to Lothric castle, where they split off into three groups. Group One! The first, had the responsibility of defeating Princes Lothric and Lorian, then claiming their souls to reignite the first flame. Royal, in his quest for honor attempts to save Lorian from the curse that beholds him. So, Royal kills the mutt Lorian and Zane defeats Lothric. Ornstein then retrieves both souls and brings Lorian back, freeing him from his chains. However, Zane does the same, bringing Lothric back because of his beliefs that everyone deserves a second chance. Group two! Meanwhile, group two pursued Aldrich, the devourer of gods. In their search they angered Vordt of the Boreal Valley, and were forced into battle. Soon after the Dancer of the Boreal Valley arrived to assist Vordt. Amidst the chaos, JT was taken captive and Kross went after him. The rest of the group, lagging behind finished off the dancer and Vordt then headed toward where Kross and JT had supposedly gone. When the group found JT and Kross, they were with Solaire who had aided JT with his injuries. Then, the group separated into two smaller groups. Group two continued on, and befriended the Crystal Sage. Kross wound up alone, torturing the Deacon priest and and meeting Pontiff for the first time. Kross then grew corrupted, turning into a monster he could not comprehend. He spoke with Pontiff , who told Kross to defend Aldrich. Pontiff sent Kross to Aldrich, where he met Anri and Horace. Kross, or his corrupted self betrayed Pontiff , and attempted to battle Aldrich, only for Pontiff to return. Kross defeated Pontiff, then returned to defeat Aldrich as well. After defeating the devourer, the soul of Gwendolin was freed and Kross told Anri to go to the Dojo, where she would live. Group Three! After separation, the third and final ground battled the abyss watchers, where Balthazar claimed the Legion as his own. The group escaped the catacombs and met Siegward, who assisted in the battle of Yhorm. The giant fell, rather quickly and the three groups found each other. Finale! Kross, Ite, Zane, and others surrendered their embers to Mortar, who pushed on towards the flame. Before they could continue they had to battle the Soul of Cinder, who proved to be difficult. However, they defeated him and continued on At the kiln, the group was forced to fight against Ornstein, who had wanted to reignite it. After defeating Ornstein, Mortar reignited the flame and the land became good once more.

    • What's New! Nearly Ten people were kidnapped after Sketch's parents arrived in this dimension, and were sent to a laboratory. There, the people would be experimented on, and eventually killed. However, the groups were freed and found each other after fighting through the ship. They entered the bridge, defeating Sketch's parents and sending them back to their dimension. The group escaped the ship, and Sapphire was accidentally sent with them, leaving her trapped on Earth alone with Sketch.

    • The Drink! The group has gone to Apcom, pursuing the drink. Ornstein and Royal followed a lead which led them to Apcom's drug lord, supposed owner of Ascendance. While there, Royal rigged his place to explode and took some documents from a drawer, detailing the drug Lords selling of Ascendance. Unfortunately, the crime lord had already shipped off the drink. Ornstein and Royal were discovered and they had to escape as quickly as possible. While escaping, Royal triggered the explosives and destroyed the drug lord's home, causing mass panic. Royal sent anyone he could find to Europa, which is where the drink had been sent by the drug lord in preparation for the deal. Royal searched for the others on Apcom, while a majority of the team froze on Europa. After being unsuccessful in his search, Royal left for Europa as well. The team waited for the drug lord to catch up to them, in an effort to discover when the Deal would go down. However, Tubbs, Sketch and Zane had gone ahead in an effort to Scout out the outpost. Ignoring the drug lord, the remainder of the team started making way to the outpost. After arriving at the outpost, the team splits up within it to find the drink. Tubbs searched through the outpost and was able discover a crate in which Ascendance should have been. However the drug lord moved it to Raluesh, in an attempt to double cross the buyers After arriving there, the team set up camp and stock up on food. While doing this, Tubbs searches for the drink alone. After stocking up on food, the team sets out on an exploration to find the drink. After locating the drink the team gathers together in an effort to split it equally. However, after a very shocking revelation, Tubbs turns to the dark side. He steals the entire crate of Ascendance and escapes in an explosion of lights. He leaves the crate in the dojo, and when the team returns have a pleasant suprise for them. Royal distributes the Ascendance, and the team go their separate ways

Ion pulse blaster, RPG anti-armor, and sniper?" "Yeah. Full house." ―A clone trooper and clone commando RC-1136, "Darman" The DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System (DC-17m ICWS) was a configurable combat weapons system used by the clone commandos of the Galactic Republic. Designed by BlasTech Industries to be able to meet the demands of the Grand Army of the Republic's elite special forces soldiers, the DC-17m became the unique weapon of the Republic commandos throughout the Clone Wars. An adaptable weapon, the DC-17m was capable of fulfilling multiple combat roles due to its ability to reconfigure into either a standard blaster assault rifle, a compact sniper rifle, or an anti-armor grenade launcher, depending upon the needs of the user. These traits made the DC-17m invaluable to its clone commando owners, and the DC-17 proved a dangerous weapon against the Confederacy of Independent Systems on countless battlefields across the galaxy, from the deserts of Geonosis, to the cityscape of Coruscant, and the forests of Kashyyyk. This weapon is the main armament of the former Republic Commando turned Mandalorian Cannon Lok, and has served him well for the past 20 years.

    • Entry: 001, official Mandalorian archives. 29 years after the battle of Yavin IV, in orbit of the planet Mandalore. Cannon stood on the bridge of the Kar'ta Tor, gazing out the viewport upon the massive fleet of ships, Mandalorian ships. 'We haven't been this powerful since the time of Mand'alore the Ultimate,' he thought. Before him, drifting through space in perfect formation, was the massive force of the battle group Taung, the largest fleet he had seen since the clone wars, nearly half a century ago. The fleet consisted of 11 Keldabe-class battleships, 9 Kandosii Type II Dreadnaughts, 12 Vengeance-class frigates, 12 Crusader class Corvettes, and 5 modified Lictor-class dungeon ships as transports. Along with several odds and ends scraped together by the clans. "It's quite a sight, isn't it?" Came a familiar voice. Cannon turned around, snapping a quick salute. "That it is, Mand'alore." "I wish I could come along for this one," Mand'alore Boba Fett said, stepping up beside the younger man. "You're needed here, sir." "Your right. I just hope I'm not sending them into a death trap."

      • The Dragon, Phoenix, Spider and Courier This was an old Dojo plot headed by Marauder Felix, myself, Vengeful Son (Blackjack) and a few others. The following is an adaptation of the events that divided the Dojo and brought it back together. June Bellicose was her name. Found her at the old Floodzone bar, she was looking for one of the members, Felix. He claimed that she was someone from his past, someone who controlled his mind and forced him to do horrible things to his former friends. He said not to trust her - look what we got for not listening to him. She became a member of the Dojo, slipped under most of the Lieutenants' radars at the time. Hell, one of them was thirsty for her. That was a more... Chaotic time for all of us, so to speak. Eventually the tension between the Dragon and the Spider broke; June and Felix. They decided they would have a duel to decide the better. If Felix one he got to take her Estoc, and if June won she would take over his subterranean city, Blackwind. They fought like Hell. But before Felix could win, June did something. Nobody knows what exactly, but he looked into her eyes and then he was defeated. He wasn't the same after that, essentially became her personal servant - something totally unlike Felix. So she gained the city. Built her own atop its cliffs, the city of Perth Varcoe. Some were outraged at the defeat of their friend while others still supported her. This is where the great divide begins. Enter the Courier - Alex Wilson, Courier Six, the -blam!-ing Mailman. Old member of the Dojo who never trusted June from the beginning. Begins pushing for conflict, says he wants her out. Few rally behind him, but this figure will soon become important. June had a loyal supporter above the rest. Her name was Serenity, another wanderer with a lost past who found leadership and empathy in June Bellicose. She would also become important. Now comes the Peacekeeper, Cobalt Phoenix. He was known as the Diplomat Lieutenant due to his many peace treaties and accords he made with other great nations (other RP threads) in order to keep the Dojo a sanctuary for duelling, free of politics or war. During all of this, it was his role to keep the other warriors of the Dojo from fighting each other due to all the recent developments. One of these people was Alex Wilson, who continuously vied for war with her. But a thin agreement was made between the two to not start any conflict with her, a treaty signed by Phoenix giving his trademark sword, Razorflame, to Wilson. Then came Felix's death. June killed him in cold blood. She kicked him off of her kingdom's cliffs and smiled. This is where the bloodshed begins. The Dojo divided itself - those who were outraged by their comrade's death and those who were loyal to the ruler of Perth Varcoe. An all-out civil war began. The details are... Hazy, so to speak. Some remember Alex Wilson using a nuke on the city while others can't find any recollection. Fewer recall a great magical ally warding off the Courier's WMDs. One thing all of the veterans remembered, however, was the bloodshed. Brother turned on brother, sister turned on sister. Dojo warriors fighting each other, all brought upon by the chaos of June Bellicose. In the end the fighting eventually faded. June strolled through her ruined kingdom, just as Alex Wilson was stalking her, ready to strike.... Until Cobalt Phoenix arrived and stopped him, stricken by grief at his home tearing itself apart and refusing to let another life be taken. Even if it was a cold-blooded murderer's life. Then came the penultimate battle of the Bellicose epic: the duel between former friends, the Courier and the Phoenix. But the Lieutenant was no match for the Courier without his blade, and was tired by the days of peacekeeping attempts before that. So the Courier killed the Peacekeeper with his own sword, running him through the heart and spine. Many ostracized him after this. But that is a story for another time. June Bellicose laughed at this, her chaos leading to the death of the Peacekeeper Lieutenant, the Phoenix himself. But her laughter was cut short when he arrived. Felix had somehow returned from the dead. He wasted no time in apprehending the heinous June. Their battle led them to the rooftops of Perth Varcoe, with Felix finally ending her reign of terror by throwing her off of a building and June getting impaled by the spikes of a wrought-iron fence. He brought her body and the pages of Phoenix's death letter back to the Dojo. They burnt the body of the evil woman and read the letter, discovering that the Lieutenant knew he would die fighting Wilson and did so in order to bring the Dojo back to its original state: a place of honourable fighting undivided by politics or war. And so they made a Martyr out of the Phoenix and a curse upon the female Spider and her webs of deceit. The Courier and Felix? They eventually found their own paths. By now, many have forgotten this tale. It is old as the Dojo itself, after all. But why bother remembering such a convoluted story? It's simple. To remember what the Dojo is and what it stands for; a warning to all those who seek to ruin its sanctity. It's what I died for, after all. -Mysterious note found near the Dojo Gates TL;DR
Wow. Really? That's pretty shallow. -June Bellicose enters the Dojo -People like her -Felix and Wilson don't trust her -Felix and June duel, Felix loses and is mind-controlled -June builds her city -Phoenix gives Wilson his sword as a peace offering -June kills Felix -Civil war begins -Fighting takes place in Perth Varcoe -Wilson goes after June -Phoenix tries to stop him, kills Phoenix -June tries to brag but she gets killed by a resurrected Felix -Dojo is unified through sacrifice
Landmark Lore! The Golden Knight In a raging thunderstorm, the Mountain shook as if in a fit of anger. After the storm, the golden Knight appeared. Tales quickly spread of this Knight, and the people became suprised of his presence. At first he was believed to be there for dueling. Several citizens went up the mountain with Swords of their own. However upon arriving and attempting to battle, the Knight did not budge. The seven returned, two days later with a food tribute. The Knight did not budge. One day the seven returned with an eighth member. They were about to sacrifice the man, when the Knight moved for the first time since his appearance. The blood of the seven men that had visited him coated the ground in an elegant rain dance and he returned to his position. The man to be sacrifices paniced and ran off, speaking the tale of the murdering savior Knight. That is the last that has been heard about him. Forest Shrine! The shrine leads to the forest realm in which the entire the dissension is nature left in its most natural state. The only way into this dimension is through a portal, which can only be created by the forest king. This king accepts tribute, to allow a person into the realm. However the tribute must be a peaceful one, of fresh food. Or blooming flowers. The king, if he deems you worth allows you safe passage through the realm for a limited time perhaps to find someone, or something.

Enchantments. Over the years, the dojo has seen many mages come through and some of the most powerful. Merlin of Camelot, Nora of The Blue Flames and many, many others. As a way to give back to the Dojo, these sorcers, sorceresses, witches, warlocks, wizards heavily enchanted the gates and walls of the dojo. Making both completely unbreakable. Well. Nearly. Construction Crew The Building Crew of the dojo is... Odd to say the least. They are tiny, much like oompa loompas and extremely quick when it comes to building. They assisted in the repair of the village whenever it has needed and have been the ones responsible for the actual building of the dojos themselves. They add on to, and destroy from the dojo anything that is needed or un-needed. Nurses and Doctors The medical staff of the dojo is a mix of Kaminoans and several other species that are highly regarded in their healing Abilities. The staff is small but very much capable. They are able to heal some of the worst injuries, and have been developing an organ copier which has proved successful with some of the guards.

The Isle Is impossible to arrive to because when one person or one group sets off towards it, the entire island disappears, unable to be seen. This is a sort of defense mechanism, still unknown as to how it happens. What is known is that the world would have to split in two for one to be able to arrive there and discover the island. Cup of Life The Cup is told of as a healing item, a very powerful one. It can bring someone back from the dead or it can bring them back from the brink. Possibly even to grant one immortality, or take it away There are rumors, very, very few that actually surround the story of how it is able to do it. It is still widely Unknown.

            • The Dight Legion The Dight are a rag tag Legion made up of misfits, outcasts, liars, thieves, honest men, robots, Elves and much more. The Dight became a thing eons before the Holy Wars, beginning at the dawn of Time, when the first angels arrived. The Legion was created, as a suicide Legion. One that was sent to take the bulk of the damage, and do inflict as much damage as possible. The Legion was spread out across the entire universe, not easily recruiting people. At first, it was criminals only, a Vanguard of sorts. However, people actually started signing up, because they wanted to fight but weren't good enough to fit anywhere else. So the Dight rose in power, not tremendously however. When Royal assumed control of the Legion he trained the members to become more then bait, he trained them to be warriors. They soon became one of of the strongest Legions in the army of Angels, with those inside of the Legion becoming feared warriors. Royal traveled, meeting any and all of his legion members which took years. He recruited many along the way. During the Holy Wars, the Legion came together as one and became the single strongest and greatest Legion anyone had ever known. People feared the Legion, respected it. They never feared a single opponent, never lost. The Legion stood against those that fought it and prevailed. There was a single opponent that they nearly fell against. The demons of the Holy Wars. The evil ones. The Legions numbers were dwindled significantly, becoming a few hundred members. Nothing compared to what it once was. After the Holy Wars, Royal lost his command due to his evil side. The Legion scattered and spread out, avoiding any real leadership. They were still feared, just not as much.

            • The Truth Shall Set Us Free (LORE) The Elder Prison The Prison was created for those warriors that took a much dirtier turn, becoming more villains then heroes. It was created for them specifically because of how powerful these people were. Able to destroy a world with the snap of their fingers. The guards are handpicked, bred into battle so they can hold these prisoners back. The Guards Of The Prison The Guards have an unknown ritual of being chosen, and are surprisingly powerful. Several of them each watch over one single prisoner, even though four or five can defeat the prisoner. Or at least that's what is believed. None have ever escaped to prove otherwise. The High Council The High Council members are in the hundreds, perhaps even in the thousands and have a single representive from each and every species, race, warrior class and so on. This means one representive from Orcs, one from Dwarfs and so on. Any, and all issues are watched over by this council but they have taken an oath never to interfere in the world or its history. However, they make exceptions for certain people, Pants for being leader of Twilight, Royal for being the son of Kahtmon. There are some others.
End
