While this will never see the light at Bungie, at least it will be on record. I'm among time Halo fan, Ghost Edition owner, XB Beta player, relegated to second class gamer through PS exclusives, TTK Collectors editions, Megabloks/T Shirts, 1500hr+ multiple characters, in the minority to have completed Raids, agree with no match-making, Love the universe, Listen to the music, LFG site supporter, helped build an 800+ member clan network, will never be good enough to get to the Lighthouse (honestly) and happy with that, daily Destiny Podcast listener type of fan. I am in deep. I was excited at 1st with FotL, but am now a little disappointed. And not just in FotL but doubting Destiny and Bungie in general. I had supported micro-transactions throughout the Eververse dropping a bit of money into Silver when I could at each event. This was in the youthful ignorance that money from Silver would help the live team create content for us. I felt if I was in a position to contribute, I would do so willingly knowing at all might benefit. Now that Festival of the Lost is actually smaller (no jumping off the tower, no Crota Mask/Swords kills etc...) and relies on micro-transactions to progress in getting the content's loot (candy bags only give you old consumables this time around and Superblack has been in the game since Vanilla) I feel my trust has been betrayed. I collected all the masks in 2015 because I was able to buy some masks and dismantle for glue to match with the other Temporary Masks I could grind for etc... (plus was lucky to get the Skull to drop). As they were all legendary masks I had had to pay for most of them either directly or indirectly. In 2016 boxes I have got the Bad Juju Ornaments (that will go into the regular ornament pool after FotL, all of the 2016 masks (negative the Flaming Wolf) and even 2015 masks that I have already paid for in the 2015 FotL!!! That is BS. I have got some Silver Dust but only two Xur ornaments worth so next to useless. No Ghosts, no sparrow - things I could use beyond FotL and no 2016 flaming mask. The Broom will get taken away and all I will have to remind me of 2016 FotL is my OCD itch I will get staring at the missing Flaming Wolf mask in my Kisok because my money wasn't lucky enough and my prayers to RNGesus not loud enough. The trust is now gone so I hope Activision enjoys that money. It feels like the only content our micro-transaction fueled live team is creating is more micro-transaction heavy content, with FotL being the example of regression towards milking a cash cow. Sadly, Bungie's take on the Eververse was sold as a side way to make money to make the game better. I now see it as a gambling addiction tool with no major improvements provided by the Live Team. I fear it will undo the community unless Bungie tries to close their Pandora's box and greed. Even popular streamers are dropping US$100+ to prove how greedy the system is and many of these rely on the viewers to up their twitch subs. The April Update QoL improvements (while pushed out under the guise of the Live team) was only correcting errors in the base game already paid for. SRL 2016 better be for the casual player and largely free and the Destiny to Destiny 2 PR/Community communication piece better be seamless, or I fear my wallet will not be opening up for Destiny 2 Pre-Orders. Great slick game play will not keep me satisfied through a 10 year span and this two steps forward, five steps back, after 3 years with a story that is still a mess (I do read a lot of the Grimoire) thing is getting hard. For the short term, I will checking out The Division 1.4 patch as it seems at least Massive might be learning from the Destiny Community's frustrations. I hope I can get my Destiny love back because the good is great. If I am to be truly honest... my best time was quite possibly the awe in the Beta... and the rest just feels like I am chasing the dragon of that first high.

  • Not to forget, if they had said that the money we'd give them would turn into content, it'd hae actually happened 100% sure, notified and dated.

You're right about this, ok I like destiny and played destiny a lot more than the division with its unbalanced stuff and clampy beginnings. But shit when you see the work they did with the community ! Bungie should take an example of this, c'mon weekly video podcasts with devs talking as bluntly as they can about the issues, how they're gonna fix them and all, giving plenty details....simply just not acting as if players were livestock but customers who actually paid for that shit ! I don' t know maybe bungie will tell us it's to keep the "magic" ahah but when you see what they did with the festival of the lost, i doubt that's a part of their philosophy. Bungie has a-style of communication very close from the one of the army
