Ummmmm, it frees you up to use the other great artifacts.....sprint cooldown anyone? Reduction of DoT effects? So many good choices...trespasser is just fine where it's at.

No, that perk is useless and it needs literally any other perk

I understand it allows you to change it up and use other perks, but if you're on a hunter, the Stillpiercer's perk set is much better than the Trespasser's. Enhanced resolution is also one of the few perks that literally everyone I know says is useless. As someone who greatly enjoys the Trespasser, I would definitely like for it to be a bit more useful outside of the extremely specific circumstances it works well in right now, which are mostly in PvP.
