Crux/Lomar and Charlemagne (Rise of Iron)

I have two things to talk about: A possible hint to a new exotic that may have been reworked on propose by Bungie The possibility of a new weapon type and foundry that may come as a Hidden Quest or come to Destiny 2 Okay first thing: During the Gjallarhorn Quest Line, you go to the workshop to bring in data to forge the Gjallarhorn. During this, ghost mentions TWO terms that caught my attention: Royalty and Charlemagne. Why are these important? We know Crux/Lomar makes good rocket launchers such as Dragon's Breath, Truth and Gjallarhorn. But, Ghost mentions their "Royalty" line of lauchers such as Baron and Vicroy (Forgive my spelling). Simple titles right? But he says "Charlemagne..." That is the name of one of the Warminds ,yes, but it is a name, not a title. "Yeah so what?" So what? If their "Royalty" line up are primarily titles of royalty, why would one of them be a name? Seems odd. But this goes deeper... The workshop was part of New Monarchy... We've gotten a guest FWC and for an Exotic, No Time to Explain. And what of that Hidden Exotic Launcher? It's perks are in the database yet there is no sign of it. Just a thing to think about. Now, for the speculation of what is to come next for the Gunsmith. To elaborate more, it has something to do with the perks of the "Dubious" perks. If I understand correctly, it uses a certain term called a volley, which could mean a simple rocket or it could be a nade shell. Catching my drift? The new exotic could be a grenade launcher is what I'm saying. I do recall that perk said that it fires a "high velocity volley" (Please quite me of I am wrong) which would be be strange. If you find my thoughts "dubious", look at Dragon's Breath. When you eventually let go of the trigger it drops the canister in an arc formation going down which is pretty cool for testing the waters for a launcher that shoots a canister. Or one to shot a grenade. Just saying. I mean seriously, I went through the lore and everything and I wish this was talked about more. I mean, how great would a grenade launcher heavy be?

  • A volley could mean multiple projectiles. I could see either a rapid fire rocket launcher that deals moderate damage or a weapon that fires it's entire magazine.
