You will have to purchase the Collector's Edition Digital Upgrade subject to its availability on the PS Store. These CE items do not upgrade to the PS4 for free.

You know, that would be fine and dandy, if you could actually buy it. Because after looking it up on PS Store, it's no longer available for purchase, so that is a double whammy in that regard. But of a shame honestly.

Seriously? So because of the rash decisions of putting the game on "legacy" in the first place, and then abandoning past gen before finishing the deed, I can't wear extra armor and colors that are nothing more than a symbol to the fact that i paid bungie some extra money to look cool? Is there really no way to recover what I already own?

Nope. You own collectors edition license on last-gen. Must purchase license for current-gen if you want use of these items.
