Swinging it around I connected it with a dregs head. Ether flew as an sword passed over my head. Loosening the sword, I swing it around my body, the blade connecting with an vandal's arm. Suddenly a sword hits me in the gut sending me and ether flying through the air. Landing on the ground and dropping my sword I check my wounds. The enemy Eliksni surround me as an green streak appears, killing one of them. Looking up to see what it was I kick a dreg's leg, causing them to tumble to the ground. The distraction was another Eliksni covered in hive armor. "Skintar!" He calls. Suddenly I realize who it is. "Ezkor?" "Head to the end of the platform! I secured a skiff!" I had so many questions... How did he survive? Why did he come back for me? "I'm not leaving you here, come with me!" I yell at him as I block an incoming sword. An stinging pain courses through my left leg causing me to stumble and collapse. The dust settled revealing Ezkor standing in front of me, blade drawn as rows of fallen surrounded us. "I will ensure you escape this time Skintar, I'm sorry I can't come with you." I looked up at Ezkor. "[i]Yik dreski teksis Vakis[/i]" (You will be remembered brother) I stood up picking up the knight blade and took my place next to Ezkor. "Let's fight once more together friend." He said. "Agreed, let's kill them for our houses" The leader of the group smirked. "You haven't won yet you Kitis!" He said I smiled. "You don't know who we are clearly" I said, my scar glowing gaining hunger. The leader lunged at me, swinging his swords. I rolled to the side, out of the reach of his blade to aim an attack. The leader's clumsy attack went into the blade of Ezkor right before he chopped down two vandals. Swinging my blade to the leader's side, he quickly skid back and countered. Blocking his attack as sparks flew, I shifted my body weight to strike a dreg behind him. The sword's hungry edge cut deep into his neck, causing him to collapse, ether and blood pooling. Ezkor chopped down two vandals simultaneously with a single swing, the blade going through their shoulder blades. My hive blade glowed a fiery red as I whipped back around to strike the leader again. He deflected the blade, countering with a strike to the chest. Everything was slow as sparks flew and Ezkor appeared in front of me. "Go, now!" He said, holding back the leader's blade. I held my leg and dropped my sword, getting ready to run. "Make them remember our names Ezkor, I'll see you on the other side." I broke to a sprint, dodging plenty of vandals and dreg's along the way. I heard sword clang and body's drop. Coming close to the platform, a explosion broke behind me, sending me to the floor. Standing up and stumbling, I limped the rest of the way to the skiff. Walking up the ramp inside I looked back. Ezkor blocked another sword as the leader struck him in the back. Running up to the cockpit I checked systems and booted the engines. The ship hummed to life and it slowly lifted up. Taking the joysticks, i set them to accelerate to get past the Dreadnaught's massive walls. After getting a safe distance away I hit the ionic thruster, sending me into hyper space. Ezkor and his sacrifice would be told to all houses and would never be forgotten.
