UNDYING MIND: Precursor Vex Section - Skip/Cheese

In the Undying Mind Strike if you end up getting the Precursor Vex in the middle section, you can essentially skip this entire section and safely kill the Cyclops from around the corner. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQDSSVmQdak This doesn't seem to be very common knowledge, but it speeds up the strike significantly so you don't have to spend several minutes fighting the Precursor Vex. With Match Game this week the Precusor Minotaurs can be especially annoying. Only downside is you don't get the juicy orb train people love in this strike! Essentially all it involves is using your sword and breaching through the barrier as they're spawning. You then run up the hill around the corner, and snipe down the Cyclops. A couple of basic enemies will run at you but they're pretty simple to deal with, and once you kill the Cyclops you can continue to the end. You can also Titan fly around to the left up to the same area, not sure if that one works on all classes though - I usually just sword through the barrier. If you weren't fast enough to beat the enemies, can simply wipe and try again. if you're with a team and only one person makes it, after the Cyclops dies they can run to the boss and pull you all through. You can also tell if you're going to have Taken or Vex on this section by when the objective changes. If the objective "Proceed Through The Interior Passage" pops up at the top of the bridge before you even enter the room, it will be Taken. Otherwise it'll be Vex, so you can use this to plan accordingly. And as a little sidenote, the entire strike can be pretty much cheesed/done with safe spots. These are a lot more common, but for those who were unaware here you are. First Area: https://youtu.be/d7ncnOt7KNI?t=62 (1:02 in the video) Boss Fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SF3KIwOK8k Not too many people seem to be aware of this skip, so figured it would be helpful to some!

  • Oh okay. This explains why some guys die way up the steps as if they didn't know the strike.Good to know they were trying something and not just being dense. I'm not a fan of that strike at all,but I really find that section tedious. It was fun at first, but when you're running strikes for a couple of hours at a time getting through that section over and over starts to feel like slogging through mud.
