Legend of a Titan: Rezyl Azzir

Hello and welcome Guardians, this is your friendly neighborhood AnonPig and I’m back once again to release the first of many posts of this type, starting with the Titans. I am in no way shape or form saying they are more important than Hunters, but like the great Hunter Pahanin had said. “...make friends with a Titan. Never know when one will come in handy." So maybe this post will land me some new Titan friends to shield me with a Ward when in trouble. It was a long time ago a cataclysmic event has happened and all seemed lost, the survivors came, they gathered beneath the god that gave us our greatest times in life. Clutching onto the hope that it could keep them safe, and perhaps it did, but this wasn’t enough for the people to feel safe. This is what caused the Factions to rise, people with like minds coming together to provide support and comfort to those in their ranks. This, the last ray of hope of humanity, began to grow dark however; they demanded loyalty to their belief, and this led to conflict. Powerful people chose to stand with these Factions, at this time they were called the Risen, they offered protection, they were enforcers. Misery crept into this place, but there was still hope that things would be better. That isn’t exactly what happened though, things got worse before they got better. The Risen decided that they wanted to be more, they decided that they wanted to be the one’s who kept the people safe, and that they would take that role from the Traveler by force. Thus began an unnecessary war made necessary by greed, ambition, and fear. These events would be known as the Faction Wars, a very dark time for the Last City, a time before the Last City. In the chaos of our personal squabble the Fallen came, they wished to penetrate our weak society and steal back their Great Machine, but it was the Risen. The Guardians. Who saved us. With the Eliksni repelled, and the Factions removed from their place of power; though their beliefs remained, prosperity was in reach. A man, a champion of these wars, a leader. He was there as the first walls of the Last City were formed, he and the other Guardians stood against the alien plunderers time and again as more people showed, and more Guardians. The City grew, and hope blossomed, hope bought tomorrow, tomorrow bought the effort needed to survive today. Yet the man grew weary. Stories haunted his nights. Old stories/ Those no longer told. Those locked behind tight lips for fear of what they may invoke. Whenever the sun dropped below the horizon and the moon rose high, his thoughts wandered. How safe was safe? How long could they fight with the Darkness still writhing? So, every day he would fight and build and protect. - He was sought after by the one known as Eksori, a Devil Captain, it wanted his head. Could this pirate of the House that failed to take the City before it stood kill him it would buy unmatched respect among his Devil brothers, but the Captain was already an afterthought to him. As ether leaked from the pirate’s broken body with each blow of his heavy fists, his attention had shifted to the unknown, but inevitable, battles to follow. - A Ketch with unknown markings flies low, he and his team are sent to investigate and his bravery is unmatched. He orders his team to wrap around pulling the attention of the Skiffs that flew beneath their Ketch away from him as he pushes to strike. He rode into battle leaping from his sparrow spraying fire at the pirates beneath him, he marched into their ranks, and he died. A Skiff comes from the Ketch, low to the ground, and their Kell steps out to claim his prize. Picking up the limp body and raising him over its head he cheers, and his House cheers with him. The Titans Ghost comes in low, secretly coming through the legs of the distracted Dregs and Vandals, the cheers stopped as the Kell saw the light from the Ghost scan over the body it held. The Titan, revived, pressed his cannon beneath the Kells chin and fires. Leaping away he fires more shots into its chest and it falls. The rest of the Fallen, circled around him, start to close in. He leaps once again slamming Arc energy from his mighty fists onto the Kells chest. The remaining Fallen are stunned by the Arc Light and he takes this moment to summon his sparrow and leave to fight another war. - He and his companions came across survivors. Living in the wilds only knowing how to survive and fight. They'd heard of a better place, of the city beneath the Traveler, but fear held them in place. His team and him led some along the journey back to the City, but others stayed. He knew that one day they would die out there, but he never looked back. This is the legend of a Titan. This is the legend of Rezyl Azzir. The Legend Archives
