But legendary engrams stop at 365? Thats hardly high light. You still have a lot to grind to get up to 385. Its not pay to win at all. You are basically just buying cryptarch rank. Which doenst have any good rewards, or breaking the legendary stuff down for marks. Which can only buy you up to 350 gear.

  • That's simply false, legendary engrave loot is determined solely by the light level you are at when you open it and you forget you can buy legendary engrave from the cryptarch for Mark's the bigger issue is that this demonstrates bungie continually redrawing the line. While it is not exactly cost effective the principal is there people can pay to increase their light level it may cost a 1000 bucks to get 385 but the fact that bungie has even allowed for the possibility of progression through micro transactions demonstrates a worrying trend.

  • Legendary engrams only decode to 365. You can open them infintiely at 365 and never gain light levels. Except in the rare case that you get an exotic. Legendaries can drop higher light from strikes and raids. But engrams only decode to 365. Is some part of that confusing?

  • I think you are missing his point... They only decript up to 365. Thats still a long way to 385. Annoying, but certainly not pay to win.
