There is a proto-fascist element within the GOP that that Trump shamelessly pandered to en route to winning the GOP primary (Clinton's infamous "Basket of Deplorables") ...and the Democrats can't seem to function as a political party at the national level. They've had 8 years to groom people to step up in to the void that Obama's stepping aside would create...... ...an the best they could do was HIllary Clinton...and Bernie Sanders.... God Help us.
