Drop Rate On Skeleton Keys
We need a higher drop Rate on skeleton keys,

Even with a key you still have to face the RNG. It will not guarantee you will get the strike specific item. Many people use 10 keys still did not get the imago loop or grasp of mallock. Even if we get it..the perks could be garbage and it just 2-3 light level higher ( contribute to 0.2 to 0.3 Light Level progress). Just make the key will always drop. We done the strike..just give the player award. Because even we use the key we still face the RNG and the contents does not always give us what we want.. Just give the key when its done..it will make the player happy up until they use it or make it RNG but when we use it will give the strike specific 100% (remember we still have to deal with the crappy perks)

I did a lot of strikes before and after the Iron lords, and the skeleton key seems to be dropping as much as the specific strike items. It's just rare.

1 ReplyQuestion: what was the Drop Rate of strike specific loot before Skeleton Keys? I could understand lowering it a bit from that, as with the new system, you can select what you want, so you can more easily level by going to the strike with the highest odds of dropping the item slot you want. It's likely to turn into one of those things that we bitch about now, but 2-3 months from now, they'll start getting stockpiled when you don't need them anymore. I'm already sitting on a stack of 3 with one left I can guarentee to get by doing the quests on my last character. Haven't been using them once I hit 385.

I've seen two since the game dropped.. that includes the one you get from the quest.

Might be time to move on.

4 RepliesNot really, RNG means a small percentage will have apparent bad luck, and only those people complain, so it looks worse than it really is. I would suggest two things: 1. A weekly iron bounty for a key for those who don't have time to play 30 strikes a week. 2. Increasing drop chance the longer you are in the strike queue. Not a huge increase, but enough to get you a 25% chance after 4-5 strikes and 90% after 10.

It's a joke grind for 1 key and the chest then drops you some shitty class item, no one is opening the chest at omnigul or the undying mind hoping for a warlock bond or titan mark. They should be a gaurenteed drop each week for you're 1st NF completion on each of you're characters at least.

4 RepliesYeah especially once you hit 365 and there are only 3 ways for you to get gear above 365. One exotic drops (which the drop rate is garbage), skeleton keys (jesus), archon forge (ran those for hours yesterday got one drop above light level).

YES! I'm stuck on the part in the Thorn Quest where you need a Skeleton Key... Farmed 22 Iron Bounties Farmed Splicers in the Plaguelands Farmed the Crucible without an Atheon's Epilogue Annnnd now I can't get a Skeleton Key...

My problem isn't the keys as much as its dropping only items for other classes repeatedly over and over but no weapons at all.

i went 54 strikes without one then 2 dropped from the same boss new strike count is at 11 without one ill do more later just hoping is not every 54 for me when i see my friends getting one every other strike they even get exotics dropping every other strike too im lucky to get ab exotic every 10th 3oc i pop..

Either DRAMATICALLY increase the drop rate to one every few strikes. Or make strike gear drop at DRAMATICALLY higher light so on that rare, Rare, RARE occasion they do drop, it's sort of worth the grind.

I got a total of 3 keys and I played a TON of strikes, i dont know the exact number but im pretty sure its above 85 in total.

Agree 100%. If we have to farm the keys on top of farming the chests then it gets pretty old. What they should do is make them a guaranteed drop in nightfall. That way first time u run it on each character u will get one. Would give a reason to run them 3 times a week tbh.

3 RepliesHas to come from multiple sources. Not just strikes. I'm "forever 365" and already tired of running strikes. Archons forge? Random loot chest in the plague lands? One in the postmaster per week? Something has to be better, it's the same issues over and over again. I'm growing weary of it all.
